Well I have been in the jeep business for a while now and have been looking around on the forums and decided to make my first post a build thread. So I started off wheeling in a 1999 tahoe and soon realized that it was way to big to fit down the trails and it just strait up wasn't built for it. I've always like the look of a lifted cherokee and love the size of them. So I started hunting Craigslist and all that good stuff looking for one when it hit me... "My friends parents have one that is stuck in first gear and just sits there" so I talked to them about it and after some thought they said the would sell it to me for $500, being a senior in high school and working a part time job it sounded like a good deal! So I started saving up the money to buy the gem and then...
That happened, my good old friend backed up right into my tahoe. So after getting some estaminets on the damage, I came to a conclusion... I told my friends parents (seeing that they were going to pay for the damage) that if they gave me the jeep and whatever difference was that we would call it even. So they agreed to that, I got a free jeep and they got the hunk of s#%+ out of their yard!
That's how she sat in all her beauty
The first thing we did was bring in back to my house, that's my friends jeep behind us.
I got my lift it's a RC 4.5in. Don't pay attention to my friends crocs! Haha
And we got the front end done from help from my good ol pops and my friends!
This was the only picture I have of me working on the rear end. That's my buddies Cole (blue) and Caleb's (red) in the picture. My neighbors really loved my working on the pile of crap in the front yard at all hours of the day haha
Got the rear end done. I trimmed the fenders and my buddy Caleb let me put his old mud kings on it
I also put the yakima rack from my tahoe on top!
I wheeled it like that for a while. Cool edit my friend did for me. I also shorted out my throttle position sensor and had to fix that. -_-
Then I decided I needed some more beef and got a barley used set of super swamper SSRs for a really good price! They are 33x12.5x15s
I got a set of D window wheels (15 with 3.75 backspacing) and got them on the swampers on them!
That how it's sits as of now. Sway bar discos will be on later this afternoon, pics coming
Plans for the future
-4.5in full leaf pack
-steering upgrade
-winch bumper and winch
-possible axel swap
-and anything else I didn't list
Out with the old!
In with the new!
Welded some brackets in to hold the sway bars.
My buddy always helping me out!

Great start! In also in high school (junior) and I'm on my second jeep. About to lift it. But you already have swampers! That's awesome. And I wish I had a bunch of jeep owning friends. Your lucky!
