Quote: I have an ex USFS law enforcement XJ. Mine has the 125mph speedo, A-pillar spot light, full rubber floors, extended idle button, but my shifter is in the floor. Its also white and not green. I guess there where many flavors of USFS xj's
Well, they started going white as a cost saving measure and it allowed them to make more money off of them when they went to sell them. Not many people like FS green. Now only fire and some LE rigs are still green. LE is mainly all white with a green or brown stripe now though.

Yes, OMC mount. And yes I did pay a crazy amount for my lightbar and it was worth it. And if you look hard enough you might just find a photo of my rig in Rigid's catalog and a couple more on their Facebook.

How does that OMC mount, mount to the pillar? Do you drill or does it clamp? I'll be buying that soon for mine as well. Nice rig by the way

Quote: Did the police package rigs come with upgraded brakes by chance? If so I probably have those. I seem to have everything else the police package had minus the column shifter. I also have the coveted Extended Idle switch.

I really only want to keep the ABS system for legal reasons. I'd ditch it in a heart beat otherwise. It's almost screwed me over multiple times.

And yes, I have pictures of my mounts that I can post later when I get home. I don't have any pics with me.

And thank you everyone for your compliments.

Edit: Actually I take that back, I guess I don't have the special spedo like the police package does. But it'll still up and go faster than any other XJ I know, whether it be stock or lifted.
Oregon must be much different than here. If vehicles were optioned without ABS then you aren't REQUIRED to have ABS. Not all XJ's had ABS so you aren't REQUIRED to have ABS. Insurance companies have no clue what was optioned unless they make the effort to crawl under and look, which they aren't going to do.

The VIN will tell you if it has ABS or not.

And thank you 88whitecommanche, click the picture in the main post to be brought to more pics.

The OMC mount requires Rivnuts and cutting of some sheetmetal on 97+ XJs

Right, but never in a million years is an insurance adjuster going to climb around and see that it's disabled.

Hey, I'm not gonna argue here. It's not my place; I'm a new member.

I'm just telling you I'm not disabling ABS.

Not trying to argue. Just justifying my point of view.

For what it's worth, I like FS green.

Quote: You do realize that the late model dual diaphragm booster bolts right in, correct?
Yes, got my booster from a 95, just want to get my extended brake lines first.

THANK YOU! I've been trying to find out who made that thing forever now! My buddy who bought it originally, said he got it off a forum but couldn't remember who made it.

Edit: HA I was actually able to find a picture of it when my buddy first put it on because of you. Thanks! https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f10/l-...r-sale-154720/
