Only time will tell what actually happens.

I lived at an apartment for 5 years and I still built my XJ and not to mention 3 other XJs. You can do it. (Not to be condescending but just giving you support)

You want to come buy it when I find a Forester? It gets me around no problem about 350 to 400 miles a week, but it does need some work that I unfortunately don't have the time to do with everything going on. I'd let it go for a good price, but it might be a little while until I find the right Forester.

Haha I wasn't even thinking about buying it to be honest but now that you brought it up, it would be something I could consider down the road especially if the price was in my range. I'm supposed to be starting a new job by the end of August in a new city so I wanted to see how that pans out before buying a XJ. Either way, I'm sure you could sell this baby for a decent penny up there if you choose to do so .

Hahaha! Conflicting opinions are not helping me out.

Again, it'll be a little while before anything happens, unless I stumble upon the "perfect" ride tomorrow. You guys will all be the first to know what happens.

Default New Foz!

So this happened on Friday...

Fitz's Overbuilt XJ-20170710.jpg

That was after the 350ish mile trip back from the Chicago area to get it, so there's some bug carnage. 2008 Forester XT (turbo) Limited with absolutely no rust and only 47k miles. Few upgrades, Cobb Accessport, Stage 1 MAP, Swift Springs (lowers about 1"), 20% tint all around, and a couple other things. Also have EVERY, and I really mean EVERY, service record since it was bought new.

So as much as I don't want to let the XJ go, I'll probably be putting it up for sale. Need to recoop some money, and the last thing I need is 2 vehicles I want to modify.

If anyone is interested, let me know. Shoot me a PM with any questions, and I'll answer them as best as I can.

Oh man I was just wondering what you were up to today... I just bought my XJ last week otherwise I would have probably hopped on it. Congrats on your new purchase though and good luck with the sale if you decide to go through with it

Appreciate it! It's difficult to make up my mind. Part of me wants to keep it, I can put it to the side and work on it as I please. But then I feel like I'll put it to the side, and not work on it very much. Plus between the XJ and parts laying around the apartment I should be able to come out pretty good.

Any chance you're looking for some 31's? I have a full set of brand new Duratracs that I'll let go for $600 + shipping.

All sorts of other **** too. Wheels ($300), CavFab OG 3-link ($500), No-Slip locker for 8.25 ($350), and some other odds and ends. There might be some wiggle room on price, but everything that isn't installed is brand new (tires I'm pretty firm on).

I'll probably post things here first so you all can have first dibs.

BTW, In no way do I expect this to be my last XJ. Once I get some more money stacked up in my savings again, I'll probably try and get my hands on an older model (95 or older). Just really no point in letting this one sit if someone else can enjoy it.

The XJ I got needs some mechanical work before I plan on getting those more expensive upgrades in. With the move to Philly at the end of this month, I'm not sure if I will have money to put into those parts right now.

If you try selling it locally with all your upgrades intact, I'm sure you could get more money? Either way, see you back once you get the new XJ

Sure can, but it might be a day or two before I can get any decent ones.

I'll be honest, I did roughly enlarge some of the holes, so it's not perfect, but it would still get the job done no problem. That's why I'm only asking $500. Anyway, I'll post pics here when I get them and let you make your decision before I post in the FS section.

Sooooo....... after some time with the new Subaru (which is fun) and not getting many hits on selling XJ parts. I think I've decided to hold onto the XJ and pick away at upgrades/repairs as time permits. I was never able to bring myself to post the XJ itself for sale and I'm still in love with it. So unless something changes, I'm gonna hold onto it.

Fear not my fellow XJ friends!!! Fitz is still in the XJ game! Will just be slow going, but at least I can really take my time and won't have any problems if it's on jack stands.

Stay tuned...

The forester is nice and definitely fun to drive. I have some plans for it as well, but money is gonna have that slow going too. So it'll mainly be maintenance and upgrades here and there. I'm sure I'll post stuff about it.
