On another note, my oil analysis came back from Blackstone already. Based on what they said, I'm thinking I must have a small leak in the head gasket. I actually only pushed this oil change to 5200 miles because of weather. Most oil changes have been done at 3k.

Anyone know any other reasons I might be getting small amounts of coolant in the oil outside of the head gasket?

Here's what they said, so I'm not too worried about it. And it's gotte be minimal like they said because I'm not seeing white smoke from the exhaust. (sorry it's not bigger) had to convert from PDF to JPG, and it made it smaller for some reason.

We'll be back in the Grand Blanc/Holly area. That oil sample makes me want to get mine done. Who knows what's in mine.

Ah nice, thats like an hour or so north of me. I'm just north of Detroit in Warren.

Blackstone will send you a kit for free, and then it's only like $28 bucks for the analysis. Totally worth it. I just wanted to get it checked just cause. Didn't really expect them to find coolant. Got me kinda bummed to be honest. I don't mind doing the work, but I don't have the extra time to get the head checked out once it's removed, and I don't want to just replace the gasket and hope for the best. Half debating on just getting a new head so I don't have to worry about it.

Heck ya, not too far. That's pretty cheap, thanks for the info. Ya I'd like to get the sample done before the fall. The wife and I are gonna take about a 6k mile trip out west in my XJ with a RTT so if there is anything wrong with I'd like to know sooner than later. Hopefully you can figure it out and get a good fix...Good Luck!

First upgrade... set of beadlocks! And they are legitimate beadlocks. They don't lock from the outer ring like the real thing, but it's a 3 piece that locks/bolts together in the center. No need for ****ty tire glue that's needed on standard RC wheels. Check out those KO2's as well!!

Beadlocks for the RC!?! Nice! The tires on my nitro Traxxas something-or-another were such a pain in the ***. Fast as hell, but I kept breaking the beads loose.

Yes sir! Way easier to manage. Plus I didn't want to put up with tire glue.

Updates on a few things (some XJ and some not) to come. Weather is finally turning around her in MI, so as long as I'm not travelling for work, I'll be wrenching.

Default New toy!

For those of you that don't know, I started building an AR15. 16" middy, Aero Precision receivers, Magpul pistol grip and stock, 10" LaRue handguard, and pretty much BCM everything else.

I'm still a sucker for the quad rails unlike most people now a days. Kind of going for an "updated" M4 look. That's pretty much exactly what it is, but not a carbine length.

Anyway... Pictures! 1 & 2 are "in process", 3 is the completed lower. Just need to torque the castle nut. And 4 is just some "Molon Labe" sweetness I wanted to add.

Anyone interested in some 3.5" Metalcloak coils? I'm most likely gonna go with their 4.5" coils, and before I go ahead and swap them with Metalcloak directly, figured I'd see if anyone here wants them. They are brand spankin new, I just opened em up to check them out.

They're $190 brand new. I'll let them go for $175 plus UPS ground shipping.

I'll leave this here for a couple days, and if not, might post them in the "for sale" section.

Haven't really thought of a price, but I'll try and make it so they aren't list price. But it won't be much less considering they're new/unused.

Someone will buy them im sure, those are pretty popular from what I hear.

Hahaha! I'm 100% with you guys. I'm at work from like 6:40am to 4pm, and it's always up on my screen.

So who wants to buy them!?!?!? I'd actually be willing to trade for something/s of about the same value. I don't know what, but I'll listen to what you guys might have.
