alright, so i got half of the lift done. the front spacers went win with ease other then the coils, little bit of a hassle, took longer then i thought it would for the front but im glad its in. the back is another story. the nuts on the stock shackles do NOT want to budge. clock turned to 11:30, an i managed to brake two, 1/2 inch ratchets before calling it quits for the day. the jeep looks a little funny with the front higher then the back.. but it will get done some time this week. sorry the pic is kinda bad quality, ill post a better one when i have light

bet you're going to do a better job tapping next time.
If you want the paint off the seals, just take a paper towl damp with gas. just make sure you only get the seal. Gas eats spray paint really fast, and will eat any paint over time
Paint looks constant. Must have good form
A lot of people just cut the leaf bolts and get grade 8's. If you have a breaker bar and a pipe they're easy, but that goes with any bolt.

Nice XJ!
First off, just wheel it for now and find out what your limitations are, then decide on mods.
As soon as you start lifting it, more stuff comes into play.
(sye, tires, possible cutting, re-gearing.....ouch)
You see a lot of desert terrain maybe? 3-4 inch lift, long arms, 31-33" for tire,
and progressive bump stopping, would be your bread and butter.
You could be stable at speed in the dunes, and still out-crawl that Richy neighbor of yours.
(you know the one, with the Chevy that's lifted so high that you can drive a car under it,
but his third member will still knock over a tall can of beer)
Have fun...
