well thanks for bringing that up cause that was aanother question i had.if you run a fuel injected engine out of gas is it true you can start it again?
thats a diesel thing, gas engine should have no problem unless you do it all the time to burn out the pump

ckysodkorn_xj 01-23-2010 10:29 PM

i don't think you'll be very happy with that. your going to have nothing but problems along the way.. why? BECUASE ITS A CHEVY! people do it all the time in cj7's but i don't see it often in a xj

Jeep or Chevy they all use similar fuel pumps

ckysodkorn_xj 01-23-2010 10:33 PM

im just saying thier's a reason you have an inline 6 and no a v6 or v8. if im not mistaken a 350 swap requires new tranny and t case along with new gear ratios and what not. also inline 6's have more torque. i've pull a chevy truck with a 350 in it backwards with my cj7 in 2wd. of course i had to have a fatty sit on the hood so it didnt raise up.

ive seen it twice and i loved it.ha its just the deepness and power of a v8 is what makes it fun.but ill do some research and if i can get a 4.0 cheap then ill just swap it out in a weekend
