Had some gnarly death wobble about 5 minutes into the drive from my house, first drive with the new spacers up front, but it sorted itself out and I havnt had a problem since. it’s starting to get a little dangerous now to be 100% honest.
I don’t know what I’m going to do next with it modification wise, probably a SYE and DS, I’d like some lockers but driving in the snow is going to be pretty common for me in the next couple years some I’m not really sure if I should get lunchbox style lockers. Also want a new tie rod and track bar. I also still think long arms would be super cool, but probably not necessary, especially in my budget, highschool. If anyone has some good experience with some of these parts in the cheaper category please let me know
Definitely look into an adjustable track bar for your lift size. As far as long arms and sye??? At your 3" lift height, neither are really necessary but your absolutely at that tipping point for benefitting from both if your budget allows for it. For the time being though get yourself a tcase drop kit - very cheap! you can literally use just about anything for a 1" tcase drop with longer bolts. aftermarket adjustable arms with flex joints upper/lower would be a good investment over a long arm kit. Again at that tipping point the adjustable ends can give you better control of your castor angle vs X amount of lift and fixed aftermarket arms

Getting an adjustable TB next for sure, followed by new shocks. I was going to get long arms and a SYE because there was a wrecked XJ in a yard a little south of me parting out. The owner of the yard, called SGT Jeep, kept flaking on me when I was trying to meet up and would never give me a price for them. Not driving 3 hours to be asked a stupid price. If he finally pulls it together and gives a fair price I will definitely buy them. Also a Tomwoods front driveshaft for a WJ for sale for 50$ dollars on Craigslist, so I was going to buy that and get a SYE. Well it sold quickly and I’ve got a T-case drop ordered to hold me over
Overheated the Jeep today, just driving home, super hot weather and slow stop and go traffic. Temp gauge was barely over 210, maybe 220ish, anyway I turned it off when I parked at my house and heard a loud hissing and looked at the front of the car and coolant was pissing out hard. I think the radiator cap blew off because when I let it cool enough to undo the cap myself it pissed more coolant the same way it did when I first turn the car off. I did here a weird hissing coming from the thermostat area though. Will refill on coolant in the morning and see what happens
Well here’s some really bad pictures, my phone is old and I’m not a photographer either, A little liquid on the water pump after idling for a bit, I have a new thermostat and gasket, new radiator hoses too. Going to flush the cooling system for sure, it looks pretty nasty in my radiator.
I decided to look into the TB to look for anything suspicious. Hard to see, but it almost looks like some coolant? Or something in there. Could be some weird condensation but it’s hard to tell from what I saw
Working on putting adjustable track bar. Rough country one with frame mount. Bushes weren’t put in correctly and the bar won’t fit. Bummer for grinding bolts all day after breaking them. Thankfully RC is sending me a new one. Also have an SYE coming. The jeep is very unpleasant on the road and i’m trying to get everything straightened out before i leave to college next month. Not bringing it but don’t want it to sit as a piece of crap. SRB and steering are my next things. Going yo get IRO 3 link as soon as I have funds
Got the parts to tame the rear of this XJ. After months of an unbearable stiff ride and vibrations louder then the engine, i’m excited to finally fix. Rubicon express sye and SFR no lift srb
Front is next. My tie rod has quite a bit of play as well as the axle bushings on my UCAs. Hopefully this is where it’s coming from and will be fixed when I upgrade steering and get new bushing because i’m still on the fence about long arms.
Then it’s time to go 4 wheeling and break stuff
Drill out the spot welds. You can get to 90% of them. After that you just have one or two things to cut out. 30 min and you will have the shackle box out.

Worked great thanks
Finally finished putting these on. I’d say that’s an improvement on shackle angle. Also brand new stock shackles. These brackets would definitely work better with extended shackles but i think i can get away with the stock ones
I have put a lot of time and money into my Cherokee since the last post. New ball joints and wheel bearings. SFR steering, rear shocks, and finally new tires.
It was a lot of work because I kept needing to order the correct tools, but I finally fixed the death wobble. The rear driveshaft vibrations have gotten very bad though aand I need to install my SYE but I cannot take my front driveshaft off.
