First Jeep
this is the first Jeep i have ever owned and when i first
drove it, i got that "falling in love feel" as people call it. Its rough
but that's how i like it. As of now, i'm not looking to lift it or anything
yet, i just want to get it in good running order. have some pics.
here it is
the head of the bolt that holds the front seat down broke
another one that broke

i think it's leaking brake fluid, for sure the valve cover gasket is toast, i think the passenger rear wheel might be bent, the vents don't blow any air, and the guy i bought it from says there's an exhaust leak. any advice would greatly be appreciated.

I had to replace the valve cover gasket on mine shortly after I got it. Super easy on thise one. I got a synthetic gasket instead of the cork ones because it had torque limiters and holes for the bolts so it was really easy to put in. It was a bit more expensive though. Think it was $50 instead of the $6 cork gasket though. Worth it IMO. As far as the bent wheel if you want to stick to stock wheels just go to a yard and see if you can find any in decent condition.

Good progress so far. A lot of us relocate the vacuum ball into the engine compartment. Mine is currently zip tied against the fender wall beside the AC drier.
