Hey guys, I'm josh and I've been looking at a lot of XJ build threads and have enjoyed it. I've seen some unique stuff and wanted to start my own because I have a lot of plans for my Jeep and hope to share it and learn something along the way. I'm 19 and have had this jeep for about a year and a half and bought it completely stock. It's actually my first build, first XJ, and even first car.
Well here she is so far, not too much to it., but a lot of stuff coming up real soon. That's why I decided to start this now.
So far I have just gotten a Flowmaster super 40 muffler, and Magnaflow cat, some Spec-d Tuning Halo projectors for my 35W HID 6000k headlights, and mounted a full size spare on the roof rack. Upcoming mods include some procomp wheels for when I lift it (soon), and a 120W LED bar. Something that is a little controversial with Jeep owners, but I love, is some Halos. The halos that come stock on the projectors absolutely suck, so I'm gonna go ahead and retrofit some blue CCFL halos (as they are very unique and I never see them anywhere I go, especially on jeeps).
This is what the front end looks like so far, soon to be very different. I'm wiring the halos tomorrow, and picking up the procomp wheels. Going with black powdercoat series 55, 15x8 3.75" BS. May get them mounted tomorrow.
I will also be posting videos on my Youtube if anyone wants to see a walk around after tomorrow's work, exhaust sounds, lift comparison coming soon, and all that good stuff. The channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6B...XA9REXMgHCCmbQ
My first car was a 1949 Mercury 2 door coupe. Got it for $90 in 1955 when I turned 16 in high school. Been through lots of vehicles since then, with my first Jeep a stock '45 Willis war surplus item we used on the ranch 17 miles south of Blythe, on the California side of the Colorado River in 1962..
