X2 to that^^^ I've done almost everything you had done to my new 99 and it's still all apart. Im making sure its perfect first! I won't make the same mistake I did with my 96. dumped my whole savings into it for lift and tires and other mods and then **** was breaking and I had no money or time to fix the damn thing. Lol

So I got some 31x10 big horns today with good tread.
$120 for the 4 and $60 to mount/balance.
its..... a very different feel, doesnt seem too bad at speeds but stopping and going is very rumbly.
pics to come tomorrow!

Been awhile, havnt really done anything besides an oil change.
But wanted to post this, i wanted it on all 000's but the gf drove it and messed that up

1/4 million mile clup baby
I have however moved out of my apt in the city to a house in the country and am working on rebuilding half of a good sized barn to be my workshop! so no more having to go work in my buddys driveway.

Love your build. I will have my 89 cherokee in 3 weeks and can't wait. will be doing alot of the same things you are. Very helpful thread. Mine has 244,000 on it and runs pretty good. I am very excited about it. You are doing an awesome job!!

Thanks!
So here is the Jeep in its new shop home, its not much but atleast its mine.

The wood bracing in the front and the old roof is coming out cause theres a new roof and supports over it so theyll be more room for "taller rigs" heh. I have some 4ft shop lights to go in and need to run power, eventually it will be all setup with doors, a concrete floor with drain and beer fridge ^_^
So my jeeps been doing this stalling thing after driving awhile, the ckp(crank shaft position sensor) was only measuring .25Vac-.3 when it should be .5-.8 Time to change it.
Heres the new one not bolted in yet, anyone see what else is wrong here?? besides all the oil mess...

If you saw the bellhousing bolt to the left was backed out you win. It was literally a turn from falling out. I tightened it and the others, which were loose too!
So yeah it runs alot smoother now and hopefully has cured the stalling and really long cranking when hot. I still think my FPR is shot though cause when I shut it off after only a few mins there no fuel at the rail :S
Also when I fill the tank up it leaks gas around the top of the fuel pump so I need a new gasket or something but I need to fix this.
Now that I have a dry and solid area to work in alot more little things will be getting done. Like I still have a bunch of led lights to run, I have a bunch of component speakers Id like to make custom mounts for in the back, carpet in cargo area out then wheel the whole bottom and bedline, ect ect
Thanks for comments!

Looking good as always, I too am in the process of moving. Taking all my tools over tonight and hopefully get wrenchin on the Jeep in about a week or so.
Also you should take time and see if your check valve ( I believe thats what it is) is leaking on your fuel pump. Could explain why you have little pressure at the rail and why theres a leak.
Something to check but what do i know.
Keep it up!

I got a fuel pressure tester now and the check valve is definitely shot, it primes up to 30 but then starts dropping fast. I dont think that could cause the stalling out though. Running it stays at 33 and jumps up to 40 if i rev it, if i unplug the vacuum for the FPR it goes to 40.
Does that sound right?
So I thought I was gonna get to redo the main cause it started leaking oil, BAD, like spurts of trails of smoke behind me cause it was getting right on the exhaust and a good sized puddle of oil. It ended up just being m valve cover bolts loose again and it seems to be fine and not leaking.
I cleaned up the engine bay and underside, I'm making it a soon priority to get rid of the stupid bottle it and its hose are ugly and the heater valve leaks.

then I drove up a little mud mound lol

I still really need to get the shackles from autozone for $35 and remove some leafs so the rear flexes better...
Haven't gotten to much else, just felt like posting, I am saving up some money and making plans to do a bunch of things at once. Like I already have a hi flow cat and nice exhaust tip but I'm borrowing a welder and I'm gonna fix the rust in the floor where the muffler used to be. Im collecting parts to do the OBA, allready have a tank that will fit where the pressure bottle is(when its gone), regulator, some fittings, I just need the pressure switch pretty much.
