Well this is still going just been slow.
I still have been collecting parts. Should be getting finished with in 2 months.
I just picked up a D300 that will be going in this. Can you say "Twin Stick"?
The head goes to the machine shop in 2 weeks and so does the block. No stroker here just a good .060 over bore and a high torq cam..

Wow, great job on the floor repairs! That's one extensive project, but it looks like it'll be a ton of fun, blood, frustration, sweat, and joy - everything a Jeep project should be. I'll be following it!

Only 3 in that pic are mine..
So far this build has taken up 3 XJ donors..
1 -Electrical, dash, trans, t-case
2- Motor
3- Axles and lift
Should start installing the front axle here in the next few hours. Already have the mini-spool in the rear and I got the axle shafts back from the machine shop with new seals and bearing installed.
With a little luck it should be drivable by next weekend..
And yes it will have the waggy grill and getting a few 1-offs this spring..

Well it's sitting on it's own 2 axles..
The Black fender is mock up only. I have the green fenders and hood that will be going back on it..

I got all the front brakes and master cylinder plumbed.
Fuel lines and brake lines ran to the back.
I found that the upper rear shock mounts won't work. 2 with broken bolts and the other 2 holes missing the nuts.
So I started building one of these tonight.

oh those bolts suck... i had 1 break off on each side when i replaced my axle bc it locked up on me goin down the road... but i just went ahead drilled out the holes went to the local Ace hardware and bought 4 bolts and a tap. and i put some of Rustys bar pin eliminators on it. after all said and done (and after the headache was gone) it looked beautiful!!! but your build looks really good and i'm jealous of that 2 door
keep it up man
