So the plan right now is to repaint the badges I popped off, you know, the 2 4x4, 1 JEEP, 1 CHEROKEE, and 1 4.0 LITER badges? Yeah, the chrome was effed on them, so repainting them with the eye-popping flourescent orange my rims were once painted with, than clear coating them. The dash turned out great, so also repainting parts of it as well. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

So I finally got Anya back from the Shell after 3 long, miserable weeks of jeeplessnessicity...I checked her out and everything appeared ok, except for one thing...I couldn't open the hood! So I pulled the lever hard, and it finally popped the hood...but now the hood wont stay closed...grrrr.
So, after being without my baby for so long, I just HAD to do something to mod her, it was like a recently-released criminal with a nicotene addiction...so I did what is shown in the first 2 pictures below...my new storage rack that I picked up from the JY on the Sept. 28th trip. First thing it stored? The bungee cord that is now hold up my broken rear seat...lol.
Upon my once over to make sure everything was ok with her, I discovered something I'd completely missed: The Shifter Mechanism! I bent it a while back and it's been screwing with my tranny ever since, so, add that to a list of stuff I'll be going to the JY soon for. They include:
Exhaust Pipe Assembly
Rear Windshield Wiper Arm Motor
Headliner
Trailer Hitch
Leaf Springs, if I find good ones
Shifter Mechanism
AND
good condition valve assemblies....I discovered today after taking the valve cover off...the contents of my third picture. What a mess...no wonder she blew up like she did.
