Well for whoever is interested, I did some measuring of my roof rack.
It measures:
125x120x15 cm. Welded together by some flat iron, maybe 0,5 cm thick, and 4 pieces of 2,5x2,5 cm square tubes and 4 pieces of 2,0x2,0 cm square tubes.

Took a picture of what it looks like as of right now:

Also took a pick of my grillguard that's still in the garage... bah..

Looks like hell in that garage even though it's clean now!

Not quite an update, but I did get some work done on my roof rack. Got a hold of a nice little welder from work and even some scrap metal! So far the roof rack has been free! The cost will come with the paint....
Well, I think it's pretty much finished, looks like this right now:

Tomorrow I'm most likely going out there to grind/sand it and eventually paint it black. Then it's finished!

Having an American girlfriend is not always bad, got a present from the father in law, of course Jeep related!

See that tool? A Dog Bone Wrench! Never seen one before, looks awesome! Anyone has any reviews on them?

Close-up!

Cold front coming in from Russia right now, -32 C (-25F) this morning... Dolly was mighty tired, the block heater never got turned on! Have a timer and it stopped (too cold?)! Second attempt, and Dolly started up!! yay!
It's supposed to be colder tomorrow, so we're staying at home, no snowmobile or winter market... Even I, crazy as I might be, have a limit!

Maybe get to work on the roof rack!
Later!

The dog bones are handy, i just always seem to injure myself with them some how. Other than that i personally like them. that and you can grab and adjustable wrench and use them as an extra long extension should you need it lmao

Yeah seems like they'll come in handy. Not having to keep 8 wrenches in the toolbox or in the car, it covers such a large area of use!

Had a boring Saturday because of the mighty cold! Woke up and it was around -34 Celsius outside... Not too fun to take doggy out for a walk!
So I decided to go into the garage, remember it's a garage with no heating device inside and the door cannot shut because of movement in the ground due to the cold weather... bah!

I did some grinding on my roof rack, as doing so, I noticed some small holes and cracks where the weld hasn't gone deep enough. Oh well, I don't wanna wait and go through the mess of borrowing a welder again so, I'm just gonna leave it. It will hold up, but might rust in a matter of 20 years or so...

After that, I washed it a bit and actually painted it. Had some leftover black rust-repellent paint and it looks much better now! You can tell it's a bit crooked here and there but whatever... It works and no one will be able to tell, and who cares?! I drive a 22-yr old Jeep!! hahahahhaa!

Going to paint the underside today, and during the week I'll find a way to attach it to my Thule crossbars.

See what happens next...

Finished and installed my roof rack the other day.
Even loaded it up with a big mattress and drove it highway, well mostly at least, just to see the mpg's on it.
It's more than without obviously but not that bad... Without it and driving with rpm's between 2200-2500, I get around 20 mpg give or take.
This weekend, with it loaded a little less than half the way, and unloaded the other half, I end up with about 15 mpg's... Less, but not that bad, it's a Jeep with a 4.0 and it's winter! Not the best air pressure either I guess...

Anywhooo.. Here's a pic of her from the other day with her rack on! Looks sexxeh!

Don't know what else to do now with her... Got my grillguard to install but will need some help with that...
Then an oil change is on the way, ordering a service kit from German Ebay. Yeah weird, but cheaper and faster shipping so...

Tips or tricks anybody? Input about my awesome rack?!?!

Small update, got my service kit so did the oil change with new oil and filter plus air filter.
Nothing fancy, just cheap generic filters which works I guess. The airfilter is of Duratrail brand if anyone heard of it?

Also went wild with a grease gun! Was fun! Get fresh grease on the nipples I could access. Only had a metal pipe on the gun so not to flexible...

That was about that, still waiting for tips from you guys!

I'm wanting to figure out what's wrong with my indoor lights since I burned a fuse all the time. Talking about the lights under the dash, when you open the doors. I have a multimeter but cannot figure it out without further instructions... Anyone has any links or wanna hook me up with instructions?
