Much good news! - Well progress at least...
Engine is back together and running well, apart from a noisy water pump... (Shall fix that after the MOT)
Nice shiny new studs and Brass Bolts on the Turbo

Old brake piston said no to life

Passenger side dust shield also not happy with the world, both now removed!

While replacing the passenger shaft UJ I smashed the ABS ring
After a bit of hunting I managed for find a new one on Ebay for £6 ($10)

Refub kit required... I'm not sure if these where doing very much.

No better way to spend a cool sunny day than working on some old trucks

Some days yes... but not many!
First job get the ABS ring fitted, 40mins at 180 degrees in the oven done the trick!

All was going well then... The bearing is on the way out, so a new hub is to be ordered :/

To cheer myself I decided to tidy up some rot but just cutting it out, I plan to cut the rear quarters quite a lot, so I lost no sleep over this.

Yesterday I went about sorting the steering with a new tierod - it was a fight all the way and the replacement part turned out to be for a Left Hand Drive XJ
#RHDproblems

Old one was knackered!

Some more new parts ordered and I shall deal with this after Easter - have a good one everyone!

More progress with the VM!
The belt tensioner pulley had split into two bits making quite a noise, so this gave me a chance to show the front of the engine.
First got the cowl off, and to my surprise found it had an electric fan - however the wires are chewed to death and I cannot see where it is meant to be plugged in - So I removed it and can go in the 'job for another day pile'
Lots of pulleys and belts!

The intercooler location - not sure if it is doing very much hidden behind the cross member

New wheel hub also fitted too - still need to source the trackrod still :/

Excellent news!
The Jeep is back from the garage and has a years MOT - i.e. now road legal!
To celebrate I started working on getting the snorkel to fit and started preparing an old rover set of bull bars.

Also ordered some new rear springs - truck will be like new, shall be going for a play this weekend!

100% successful evening! New springs are on
Made a bit of a mess of the street :/

2" lift and standard springs - I am happy with that!

Now to do some nip tuck!
