Where in Missouri are you from? I'm about 45 minutes north of KC.

Last weekend I pulled the jeep out of it's resting place for the first time in about 3 years, crazy to think how long it's been neglected. It made a good home for some mice though haha. Luckily they didn't chew up any wires though!
I took a couple quick pictures just to give an idea of it's current state (dusty and full of mice turds).

After pulling it out I swapped in the new battery from the comanche in, it turned over fine but would not start. After testing a few things a finally realized that the fuel pump wasn't kicking on when I turned the key. Checked all fuses and they were fine, then tried to jumpstart the fuel pump and nothing.
Fast forward to today, I swapped in a new fuel pump and fuel filter and the jeep started right up!
After starting, the belt was squealing like crazy. Turns out the alternator is siezed up, so I figure this is the perfect time to do the dodge Dakota alternator swap and upgrade from 90a to 136 . I will be doing a write-up on this so if theres any specific questions or pictures you want of the swap, just let me know!
The alternator is showing a delivery date of April 20th, so I'll probably give the jeep a good deep cleaning in the meantime.

The 160a from the tow package fits the same as the 136a. If you have free returns😁

Edit: I forget the voltage regulators are different on renix though, there are write ups out there though.

Already done haha. But thanks! This should be enough for my needs.

Got the dakota alternator installed yesterday, I also put on a new idler pully and serpentine belt while I was at it. I decided against doing a full write up on the alternator because it was a pretty straightforward process, but I did get some pictures of how the bracket looked after grinding.

The jeep can officially run and drive under its own power again! I drove it around the yard a little bit to get it up to temperature and it did great!

So now I'm essentially starting where I left off. This weekend I will resume the slider project, I'll have a few full days to work on it so if all goes right and my welding skills aren't too rusty I can hopefully get them done.

:edit: I forgot to add, I started cleaning up the interior, I didn't get too crazy because I had limited time to work, but took the headliner out (I was going to recover it again with the stock gray color, but it was in too bad of shape so I just threw it out). Took the cb and all wiring for it out and started to clean up the floors to prep for bed liner.
