man its been a while. Got some updates! Took saturday off of work to go to the jy. It was a nice day so I figured I needed to go. I found a 95 cherokee 2dr with like 120,000miles on it. It is way nicer than my jeep. I figure it must be a cash for flunker car. Its sad that these nice xj's got scrapped. But I figure that apart of it should live on so I gutted it. I took the rear interior side pannels because they were not sun faded. My old ones were and I couldnt get the dye to stick. I also SCORED on a sound bar that had sony explode's! Nice speakers! I got 3 dang nice seats and some of the short sunvisors so I can put my cb above the rear view mirrow. All of this came to like 41.65! Thats cheaper then the speakers are worth! So heres some pics!

Got new tires. Good Year Authority 31-10.5. The wheels are still on backorder I should see them by next monday. Cant Wait!!!

I had to clean the seats up. The head rests all had black crap on it. We figured it had to have been mullet grease...

headliner is sweet!!! I didnt know what I was gonna do. I changed the interior color to black but still had that nasty tan headliner. I tried to dye it but the color just faded back through. So I went to walmart and bought 20 dollars worth of this realtree camo and a can of 3M spray adhesive got after it! Worked really well!

Decided to go ahead and do the sound bar too since the gray headliner was falling off of it. Really pleased with this find!

Decided that the cargo area needed more light. I ordered two lights like this to put in the back. I also put a 12v plug in here as well. Ill do the same to the other side. Tomorrow im gonna get everything wired up and put the interior back in hopefully.

Thanks for looking.

nice budget build. How much do you have invested in it overall so far? It looks good. Its nice to see you doing everything yourself. good luck with everything.

thanks man! really like to hear that people like it. I like the no budget builds when they go all out but I got more important things to spend my money on...like most of us here. I had a goal and I think I met every one. My wheels should show up here at work any minute and I will mount and balance them when I get home. Hopefully have some pics up tonight. Cant wait! This weekend I ended up getting the wires ran for the lights and the back interior panels in, Ran coax for cb above the headliner, and got my sunvisors in. I wired up the vanity lights in the visors which were self grounding but I couldnt get them to work, i guess they aren't grounding because my headliner is between the roof and the mount? I dunno I aint takin them down cause they were a SOB to get in! But that all i got so far. Thanks again guys!

Jeep = 1,500
parts = aprox. 1,200
wheels and tires = 750

so about 3500 i would guess thats before paint and body work. That will come a little later. Prolly early spring.

thanks man

Why don't you have Rick harkrider do your driveshaft for you. He can shorten it and balance it. That's R&R jeeps in waynetown btw. 765-230-6529 is his cell phone number. It's hard to catch him but call him enough and he will answer.

Nice build so far though man!! We will have to get together and work on some jeeeeeeeeeeeps yo!!!! Lol. Btw I'm Jarrett a I'm from crawfordsville. Nice to meet you man!

yea ive seen you on here. Its nice to see some local people on here! Nice jeep yourself! Ill have to give him a call. Ive heard of him but I couldn't find any info on the net or anything...ill have to look into it. I think the reason that its too short is because the manual trans is shorter than the auto? I dunno for sure but that is all I can think of. Thanks again man!

Well my computer got a virus somehow...so I havent been able to get any pics up til now. Here you go. Sorry it took so long.

New wheels and tires make a hell of a difference

went with cragar V-5's

my interior is in

overhead lights will work great for night fishing

got dash dyed. worked pretty good. Had to tape alot off though.

rear seat in

wired this red LED up to the posi loc switch so I know when its engaged

cb hooked up

We got 6in of snow friday night so after i plowed the driveways I had to get the jeep out. I still dont have my fron ds done so this is about all it would do in 2wd. Thats it for now. Gonna work on getting front seats in tonight. I already got a plan just gotta do it. More snow coming tonight. GREAT!!!
