Gotta figure out what I want to do with them. I dont want to just cut em and leave em unflared. Bushwackers are nice but like $500 -___-

Changed the oil today! It's been about a year, and only about 4.5 quarts came out...

gotta start eyeballin for a leak. I've not noticed any in the driveway o_O No metal shards in the oil though. Always a good sign.

I think if I go for flares, i'm just gonna bite the bullet and get full BW flares. I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for a sweet deal on flats though

@countrycherokee: Thanks!

Here's a picture of the progress made from May to August. I really need to get a few comparison pics like this from the front, rear, hood, etc.

A College Kid's 96 Classic-kcjmq.jpg

So glad I ripped off the nasty, dirty looking trim.

I think i'm going to get flat flares eventually. I like Bushwackers, but I want my XJ to be blacked out, and BWs are greyish and I don't wanna deal with paint. Flat flares look sweet anyways, and are a bit cheaper.

Went and got my alignment today. I looked at my old tires I took off the XJ and they were wearing perfectly even. I wanted to insure my new tires with a 4-wheel alignment, so for $70 I figured what the heck. MAN. What a difference. I didn't think it was bad before, I just told myself it drove like a truck did. But with the new alignment, I feel like i'm driving my dad's 427R! The handling is so dang tight.

Thanks man it's really paid off. I now treat her like a pet, and less like a car. If i'm sitting around the house for a few hours, i'll just go on a 15-20 minute back road drive. It's nice having something i've worked this hard on, and I appreciate it 100 times more.

I'm deciding on whether I want to black out the orange corner lights, using VHT Nightshade, or buy the $35 clear marker sets.

I'm not a fan of blacking out tail lights, but one of mine needs to be replaced anyways. I think i'm going to order one new one, try out VHT Nightshade on the one that's messed up, see how it looks, and decide where to go from there. A full blacked out murdered look would look sweet. Just need windows tinted

I tinted my tail lights, side markers, and turn signals with Rustoleum tail light tint. It looks extremely dark but the light shines through perfectly. I will say however, I did not pass inspection because I tinted them. According to the guy at the shop, NC does not allow any amount of tint on the tail lights or turn signals. I just said ok, and found a hole in the wall shop. Pulled in there, said I needed an inspection. The guy looks at the jeep and says "looks like it will pass. Go get your registration." haha

Anyways, I think the tinted lights look great. I'm not sure if I put any pics in my build thread but if you pm me I'll get you some.
