This jeep is my fifth truck and the smallest by far. My last one was a 2000 Ram half ton (5.9L magnum) with 5.5" lift and 35x15.5's. Needless to say the tranny didn't last long. Since it needed a lot of front end work I ended up selling it and buying this 96 two door with a 4 banger. I was looking for a dependable vehicle with good gas mileage but now I'm hooked on the cherokee. It has only 94000 miles on it (I've done 10k so far) and the old veteran that I bought it from hardly drove it and gave me all of his receipts since '06 ($4000+).

So far I have only replaced the muffler (cracked and rusted all to s***) with a cherry bomb glasspack and I modded the hinges so that the doors are removable.

My to do list (somewhat in order)
  • speakers - with no doors i have no tunes
  • 3" lift - spacers and aal's to hold me over til next summer when I'll use F150 front springs (with the spacers) and S10 rears and shackles to get about 6" total 3's good now because i dont have the cash for all the steering components and SYE
  • cooler air intake - probably homemade
  • TB swap
  • other engine mods - kinda few and far between with the 2.5L
  • roof basket, front bumper, and rear bumper with tire carrier - all homemade
  • roof visor
  • maybe false rear floor
  • maybe new paint and some tint but I doubt it
We'll see if I can get all of these done this summer. I work a ton and gotta save for school in the fall but I can't resist not working on my vehicles. Feel free to comment any or give me some suggestions! I'll post pics of anything I do

Tanner

cooler/fishing pole rack that I made for my old chevy and then my dodge but was too low for the xj so... 2x2 tubing, some hockey pucks, and a couple 1/2 in bolts

p.s. anyone know how I can attach a picture and write a caption above it?

you guys know how much I'd have to cut the fenders to fit 32x11.50's ? I know I can fit 31x10.50's with the 3" lift and no cutting

jus cut and fold to the body line above the fenders and you'll be able to tuck 32's, you'll want to bump stop though.
