Well, just got my first XJ last Friday. It had a bit of a radiator leak, but I got a new factory replacement, and took care of that problem. I paid $1,000 for it, and I think I got a great deal.
The plastic on the front bumpers was smashed, so I ripped them off.
I drove it to work for a week, then Saturday decided to take it off road with the CNYJeep.org crew.
I did the cheap/easy 3" blocks in the back just to fix the sagging springs for the weekend, and managed to get it stuck.
I managed to get it out with the help of another Jeep, and a winch. The alternator needs a good looking at, and the brakes are a bit soft, but I can still drive it just fine. Needless to say, I am now hooked.
Theres a pic with the Patriot in the background. Anyways, I am thinking 4.5" Rough Country lift, and some 33" mud tires. What else? I would like to make a quality, badass Cherokee.
