So with the lift at 6.5", I am getting some significant drive line vibration which I more or less expected.

After much research, it seems there aren't as many options for the NP242, otherwise I would have gotten the SYE. Does anyone have recommended solution? I read that at one point Tom Woods had an SYE of some sort for the 242, but not sure. Forgive my lack of knowledge, don't have much experience in this department.

I think one of your only options is the hack-n-tap mod.

Yea, this write up pretty much sealed the deal - not sure what he used as a replacement driveshaft though. Mine is an auto transmission.

Great to see another Canadian ! Lol I had issues putting my lift on aswell because of the insane amount of rusted bolts from the salt and snow haha. Anyways keep up the great work !!

Holy crap it's been a long time since I updated this. Long story short, I made some bad decisions on new years eve and have just regained my ability to drive again. Something I have learned from and will never, ever do again.

Onwards. Since I've had to wait so long, so has my shopping list. Ordered a new HD tie rod from Iron Rock with joints. Great customer service! Great upgrade, great price.

Next, ordered front and rear extended brake lines from RC. 30" long to accommodate the lift. Install was straight-forward and feel much better now.

Winter hit. Time for bigger tires! Now, I know many people said to throw 35's on it, but I ended up going with 33's. Mainly because I still travel a lot and I think 35's would have taken it off the highway altogether. I might get flak from some for this, but I'm happy with the 33's

Gas tank has had a small leak for a while now - scored a used, but good condition tank from pick and pull for 22 bucks. Will throw that on this weekend and start shopping for tank skids as well.

Now, since I'm not in the mood for getting in **** while I drive this with 12.50 wides on it I've temporarily put the stock flares back on until I grab some of the V2 fender flares from Napier.

The downside is that I'm getting pretty ****ty rub when I turn the tires now. Cut-outs have now moved to the top of my list for sure. I'm still up in the air about Bushwackers, Napier's look great but awaiting response on availability as my time frame may overcome price.

Tomorrow or the next day, the following will be arriving....

- Iron Rock's dual steering stabilizer kit, with an additional Tenneco shock to replace the stock one.
- Daystar Extended bump stops
- Iron Rock's HD Coil clips (Not on everyone's list, but I want them on there)

In a week or so I will be ordering a new manifold (Rugged Ridge?)

Will definitely post pictures of the dual stabilizer kit once it's in, I'm pretty excited for that one.

Oh, I should also mention that I made a 1,200 trip this weekend on the new wheels. Purrs at 110 (70mph) and my mileage may in fact be better than before with the 31's.

Wicked! I see you're in Sask as well whereabouts? What did you order for tires?

Nice, I was looking at those too. Saskatoon - just moved here from Calgary.

Stabilizers are mostly installed...when I went to remove the old stock one, I snapped the bolt that attaches it to the diff. Will have to go get a replacement tomorrow. Looks cool though! Interested to see any differences in handling?

Alright, put a used, but new tank in today. Realized it's a Spectra tank after cleaning it up. Zero rust. Bolted up fine. Two problems though:

My fuel gauge is now backwards. Thoughts?

The top passenger side of the tank was wet after I drove it home. Now, I should mention that the tank took nearly 90 litres of fuel and if it's the same size as the other tank, it should have only taken 75 litres. Overfill perhaps?

Let me know if you guys have any ideas on those, greatly appreciated.

Also...my steering is doing something weird, will have to investigate. I have a suspicion something is amuck with the dual stabilizers. Can feel something popping under my feet.

Scored one of these Rugged Ridge manifolds brand new off Kijiji yesterday for 200 bucks. Old manifold is cracked to hell. Excited to put this on, especially to reduce noise up front.
