I been told that USA standards are made by Yukon, the only difference being that USA's aren't ran for 3k miles before they are shipped to the customer like yukons are. I did notice that the gears aren't as worn down as most. gear marking compound notes show an oval wear mark & these rub the compound off across the whole tooth... thus the "loud winning" complaints they've gotten! We'll find out I guess

I set them in the rear, but I'm having the front set by Cory's (X1994J) dad! The 8.25 wasn't to bad to set up, just nerve racking! Lol

interesting. i think ill order them then. i knew that yukon made them but didnt know the "diffrence" thanks for the info.

I just saved a bunch of money a car insurance by picking up these & price matching to 4x4groupbuy.com 8.25 = $124, D30 = $98!!!

whats the freeway like with 4.56 and 35's trying to decide if 4.88s is the way to go. thanks in adv

I'm sure they will rub a bit, no biggy! Sheet metal fears me Haha

The main reason I didn't wanna go with 4.88s is you"ll have to replace the carrier, so where I went with a lunch box locker it would have been just 1 more thing to add to the list...

Ya I haven't got it on the freeway yet, cause the gears need some good break in time. They felt really good up to 35mph tho!

Thanks to dpace I got the 3.73 & up D30 carrier I needed to finish the gear install! Also my LF hub & bearing were shot, so I got a shiny new hub too...
