Building a Comanche Crew Cab, looking for interior mod ideas
I’m currently building a crew cab Comanche out of a 1989 MJ and a 1993 XJ, I’m starting to put the interior together, and I’m looking for good mod ideas. Please share pictures of good interior mods.
I’m looking to try and jam a audio deck and a CB radio into the dash bezel, I have only seen a few other guys do this, can anyone post good models that can fit easy and look good in the dash bezel
Looks like your off to a good start I'll be fallowing this
Need alot more details man! Drivetrain, frame, axles, ect
it has a healthy 4.0 but will get an R2.8 at some point, I’m having a custom drive shaft made up, the frame is beefed up with stiffeners that will be tied into rocker panels, creating a sub frame that is tied into the MJ bed frame, for the time being I just have a slightly beefed up Dana 30 and 35 until I can figure out if I will go Dana 44 Ford 8.8 or go full 1 tons at some point.
Here's something I really like and would like to do one day. It would also add a modern touch to match the new seats. Sorry about the pic.
Another idea is to remove the ashtray in the back of the center console and replacing it with a cigarette lighter/USB.
Done light/map light from one of the higher trim levels up front and a rear done light in back.
Vent windows in the front doors and a slider back window unless your brave enough to convert the fixed glass in the back doors to swing out vents. Hint, the hardware from the swing out side window of a late 80 ford ranger extra cab should be about right.
