Trimmed the plastic and alittle off the fender so I can turn without rubbing. If I want to flex it those front fenders will have to go. Which they will, but that'll be another project.

Day pic of the bumper. Plastic wasn't trimmed yet.

Went for a short drive to get power steering fluid (my reservoir pisses fluid). Little vibes from 0-20mph and then nothing up to 40, haven't gone over that so I'll watch for it. Pretty stiff till it breaks in, especially in the rear. Also saw how big it actually turned out. Guy who works at Advanced Auto has a really nice XJ with a 3" Rustys lift on 31" Duratracs, lotsa goodies on and in it. Anyways, mine sits like 3" taller with 1 size bigger tires. Cool guy, might be hooking me up with some RC disconnects and maybe go with to wheel at Badlands in a couple weeks. Sorry, no pics, so here's one of how my tire sits.

Flare removal is needed for flexiness.

Ordered a new power steering fluid reservoir, mine leaks so much it gets practically empty overnight. Making my concrete driveway to blacktop with all the stains lol.

Steering reservoir came in, need to find time to replace it cause stopping to buy a quart of fluid a week doesn't sound plesent, neither does the leaky steering noise it makes. But being back to work again has me strapped for free time. My neighbor also gave me some shackle recovery rings for my bumper, oddly shaped, but real heavy duty ones they'd use for pulling dump trucks and other big machines. Going to clean them up and paint black. I'll post a pic tomorrow. He's been a heavy duty mechanic for 40 years and a welder when he was in and after serving in the Navy during Vietnam, said he'd help teach me to weld when I'm ready.

So I took some pain meds again to cope with, well, my pain. But it wires me. So I'll just post up my plans for the future for the Jeep.

Absolutely Needs To Be Done

-Replace steering reservoir
-Straighten steering wheel
-REGEAR! So sluggish off the line and getting up to speed now. Going with Rusty's gear package: Motive 4.10s with master overhaul kits as well as the D30 carrier ($608)
-Correct speedo gear so I'm not guessing on speed and milage.
-Better brakes. Either the ZJ rear disk mod or, if I can find one, the KJ 8.25 disk mod because it should be easier. Was pointed towards Hawk brakes, kinda pricey at $200 per set pair, but you get what you pay for and they seem really good.
-Re-balance tires. Some tape weights came off from storage and the tires vibrate and pull to the right. No one at work wants to do them cause they're a PITA and I can't cause of my injury.
-Re-aim headlights.
-Replace marker bulb.
-Replace 3rd brake light.
-Grease LCAs again. Don't think my grease gun worked right.
-Get front licence plate (stupid Illinois law).
-Install RC extended front brake lines.
-New U-joints in front wheels and front driveshaft.
-WASH THE WHOLE THING!

Need To Do But Not Urgent

-SYE/ TC drop. Preferably the SYE, but I got lucky and the only vibes are at low speeds. Still, it needs it to adjust everything back to normal though. Feel some sort of grind/thump when I let off the gas.
-Paint and put on recovery shackles.
-Wire and mount led lights.
-Buy and install new exhaust system from headers back. Going with Gibson swept side exhaust cat back, magnaflow universal cat, and I'm still researching headers. Want some extra power. Making sure all stainless steel.
-Fix broken DS rear window regulator.
-Paint and install Ruff Stuff D30 diff cover.
-Coolant flush.
-Replace valve cover gasket.
-Transmission cooler.
-Upgrade fan or radiator for better cooling. (Aux fan maybe?)
-Remove fenders and cut for more clearance.
-Get rocker replacements installed when they're ready.
-Get spare wheel and tire.
-Sandblast and repaint roof rack.
-Add stickers.

What I Want

-New headlights. I like the TruckLite leds.
-Detroit TrueTrack LSDs both front and rear. (Stupid expensive)
-Aftermarket rear bumper/ tire carrier, not sure from who yet.
-Quarter panel armor.
-Skid plates. (TC, gas tank, front)
-Flat style fender flares, either Bushwacker or Napier.
-Quick disconnects.
-Winch. Probably just a Harbor Freight one to get by.
-Hood vents maybe, to help it cool down better.
-Led conversion in interior.
-60mm or 62mm bored throttle body.
-New speakers all around. Second sound bar for when I'm doorless.
-Doorless mod, should be easy since I have previous body style hinges.
-Easy plug for my power everything doors.
-Redesign subwoofer so it doesn't take up so much space.
-Cowel intake, either bought or or homemade.
-Anti-theft lug nuts.
-Better storage. (cargo nets, an organization drawer for the trunk, pouches, ect.)
-Lock box for when I'm doorless
-Dash cam and GoPros.
-Hi-lift jack.
-To get my friends to buy Jeeps.

Just some off the top of my head cause I can't sleep.

SYE is the only cure for the thump/grind. I have an RE TC drop, and mine still does it a little bit. It definitely helped compared to what it was without it.

Also, JKS disco's are awesome! I'm super happy with mine, and they are pretty beefy.

Why LSD's why not just lock it all together?

I'd go with 4.56s over 4.10s Talk to James about gears, when I was going to regear, (still havent) James got me a great price on nitro gears + install kits and new front carrier. Which is far better quality then rustys, and it was about the same price. He's a nitro dealer.

For doorless mod, whenever you want to do this let me know. I did my old jeep with the new hinges, then I've done all 4 doors on this jeep which has same hinges as yours.

Doorless wiring, on my old jeep I had these 24 pin miltary waterproof quick connectors in the door jam, was like $30 for the pair. Well worth the time saved.
Sound bar, I have another chilling in my garage. If you want it $20 I'll bring it to the next meet and greet.

I hear the bored out throttle body doesn't really make a difference. Haven't done it myself.

Also if you want to make a cowl intake snorkel thing, I'm down to help. Been wanting to make one myself now for awhile. Maybe we can figure it out and make a few.

I really don't want to do the TC drop cause of all the problems it can cause fixing 1 thing.

I want to do LSDs because this is my daily and sadly it'll be on the road more than off it and need the street manners, I may lock the rear because it doesn't do much else than go forward and back, but in the winter for the front I want something that won't lock up while turning in the snow. I would love to do selectable lockers, but I don't have the income to drop into those, so LSDs are my next choice.

Awesome man! I appreciate it, I'll definitely hit you up when I plan on doing those rounds. Now that I'm back to work at 2 jobs I'll have money for new projects, but no freetime I'd love the sound bar though, I'm just not sure if I'll be able to make it to the meet yet, I'm trying the leave one of my jobs and figuring out schedules right now.

With 4.56s won't highway speeds suffer? I don't want to overkill it with my 32s. At most, I'll go up to 33s. At the same time I don't know much on gear to tire to speed ratios, I just know I use to be quick and now I'm not lol.

Here are the recovery rings my neighbor gave me. Kinda hard to tell at night amd them being black, but they aren't D rings, they have this twist to them.

Also finally gave it a wash at put some of the stickers on.

Rained. Figures.

That gun metal pearl xj at james shop was going to go 4.10s. People talked him into 4.56s. He has same size tires and tires as you. I read everywhere 4.56s are perfect for 33s, and thats what alot of my friends run and love it on 33s. Also I heard the mtr kevlars are an oversized tire so thats why I say do the 4.56s.

And I hear ya on the 2 jobs. I was working 2 jobs for the past year, but quit one recently, now I have so much free time I don't know what to do with myself, but the jeeps been on hold because of which.
