I guess I could post again to show I'm almost done with this thing. Sorry for the terrible thread. Just a few more things and it should be time to fire it up.
Hey all,
I posted a couple weeks back proving i'm making progress, and now found some time to write up whats been going on.
April 2014 I had the motor rebuilt from top to bottom.
Feb 2015 i signed up for moab trails and promised myself i'd get this thing finished up.
First thing first, I installed the motor in.
Next, get some necessities.
Next, intake, exhaust, front end with new rad. trans cooler condenser.
Front clip..
random love with yellow dogs and steering box brace.
Runs like a champ, fires every time.
Up on jacks, waiting for tires. And threw on a light bar..
Tires went with 33 12.5 R15s
Painted the bumper and cleaned up the winch a little bit. roof rack back on..
here are some other random pictures..
Couple other things i've done:
99 Durango steering box, with cooler.
Trans cooler
new manifold bolts
random tidbits
Keep in mind, this all started at the first of january.. I'm very happy with all i've accomplished. There are still a few things i need to do. I have JCR classic rockers on their way. along with a spectre cowl intake (on back order), and i plan on getting bilsteins all around. Trim fenders.. I've got a little wobble in the front end; probably need to do control arm bushings. then alignment.
Lookin good! I really hope my head doesnt do the same. I have an 01 so we'll see... Good luck with MOAB!
if you take care of it, you shouldn't have a problem. Keep er cool. My head actually never cracked. It's only what I assumed. So I purchased one, finding out it was my block that was cracked. I had them test my head even tho I got a new one, and there were no issues with it.
