I can go take some pics real quick. its honestly the most ghetto set up on the rig ha i took rebar and bent it to a slight "s" shape and it fit right into some bracket with a hole, then i did a little tack weld to it so they wouldnt fall out after i had just taken the rubber stuff and put bolts threw it wrapped around the rebar. it was a quick fix so i wouldnt get tickets, but it works!

eh.. i dont really like it there. i just thought it looked good now that i painted it and the rear bumper. i have another mount for it on the roof rack, where i usually keep it. it just minimizes the rear clearance unless you flip the arm up.. but then you cant open the hatch. kind of a lose lose with it on the back i think.

any thoughts on rebuild kits? Its time to get this thing done. but i have no idea of what all to get.
Things I have:
oil pan gasket
head gasket
new head that came with valves and valve seals.
Head bolts
Probably will need:
Rings
timing chain ??
chain cover gasket
thermostat housing
thermo gasket
water pump gasket
rear main seal
Things i think i need
crank and cam bearings
Any good kits known to have a majority of the things needed? don't really know where to look for quality. and i don't really trust ebay with this kind of thing..
Any help will be appreciated.

Bought my rebuild kit from rock auto. everything is ready to rebuild, just need to rip the old one out.
Anyone have suggestions for roller rockers? 1.7? and the valve cover spacer? I figure i might as well get some since its all apart.

Depending if its the 1.7 I'm thinking of, I've heard many font need to space the cover or get another. Should be a tight fit but shouldn't need to space it. Could be wrong but I remember reading it on naxja

I'm really not good at this game. I guess I'll throw an update out there..
I think I've gotten 2 new jobs since the last time I posted. My twins were born in February. one of them came down with sepsis in april and was on life support for a week (very healthy now). Came home for 2 days, just to move out of our town home into a house. *with a shop*. had my motor rebuilt in april/may.
2000:
The motor is in, but nothing is hooked up. (No funds) duh.
Recently:
All white LED interior lighting, including dash.
Mounted new motor
Needs:
Steering gear spacer
Trans oil cooler line
Radiator
Wants: everything
89
Registered and running better than ever. 235000 miles.
Recently:
converted to "open" cooling system (hence the reason the 00 needs a radiator)
VCG
Round LED headlights
Fixed blinkers
Put "bucket" car seats in
Needs:
Battery/find power leak draining battery.
Interior lighting for dome switch/door switch
Underbody maintenance, bumper to bumper luncheon.
Radio.
In due time I'll have both my jeeps on the street.. at least she has a cozy place to stay now.
