Cool Dirt Nasty & Silver Sally

I wanna just make my own thread on my jeeps. and post anything and everything i do to either of them.

I have an 89 xj 5 speed, this was the day i bought it. $1800 05/05/10
And i have a 2000 xj auto. This was the day i bought this one. 5 G's 07/14/11

I will start posting random pics of progress from then today. i dont do much work on the 00. its just my cruiser. but im starting to do more and more things on the 89 to make it look good and crawl better. just a hobby. not a pro. just wanna have fun.

Can I take my doors off (following the write up about cutting the brackets) without unbolting the brackets?

Well I finally broke down and swapped parts over to the 2000. Took it down to moab over the weekend. I'll throw pics up when I get home but this thread is about to get some actual work on it. Now I can say I'm actually "building" a jeep. Going to sell the 89 to get a 6.5" long arm kit for the 00.

Any thoughts or suggestions for death wobble? Day old track bar steer stabilizer and ball joints. I'm tempted to find a new steering box cuz mine pops when I turn left. Tie rod ends? Just need suggestions. Thanks

For your death wobble check for play in the tie rod end and make sure your wheels are properly balanced. Also, what lift/tire combo did you have on your 89 in the first pic?
