Ok, so today was "paint it (semi-gloss) black" day. The tape is still on and the last of about 3 coats of paint is still drying. It looks ok in the garage. I know it's going to need some finish work, but won't know how much till I get her out into the day light.
Keeping my fingers crossed!!
Tomorrows XJ plan:
-dull down the gloss paint on the moldings.
-speaker grill mod for the front door panels.
-get front speakers working again.

my front speakers also did not work. i ended up just wiring a new wire to both sides rather then try to find the short. only took about an hour and you cant even see the wire.

Nice, thats what i need to do. I was going to have them rewired when I put in a new head unit but I might try it myself.
