Been awhile since I updated this. Haven't done much. Got my soft 8's put on some 33x10.50 KM2's, exhaust is installed, bought some hella 700ff lights and threw them on, and made some minor fixes. I gotta extend the bumpstops, get some HD steering, skids, and fix the rear sag before she's ready for wheeling.

I'm probably going to take it up to 3" all around as well because I'm at 1.5" now. I think some new Dorman leaf packs in the rear with relocation brackets; and 3" coils up front with some JK rubi shocks.

New KM2's

All done. You can see my fender trimming and Hellas in this picture

Measuring for bump stops in the rear. Front sway bar was still connected.

Got my ghetto rear bumpstops made and put on, they do what theyre supposed to do, and it costed me like $5 and some time. I just took some scrap steel I had laying around and welded 3 1" pieces together. Then drilled holes through and got some 5/16-18x4" bolts from lowes and bolted them on with the stock bump stops. My welds look like **** but I did this kinda quick.

the all important pics!!

I ordered 6 hockey pucks and the daystar extended bumpstops for the front. I also ordered an HD tie rod with new TRE's from iron rock. After that will come gas tank/tcase skids, SOLID diff covers, and lokka's front and rear. Then stage 1 of my build will be pretty much complete. Stage 2 will come around winter time.

Spend 1/2 the price of a gas skid and do what i did. Unless youre getting a stock one, those seem to be cheap.

Started mocking up skids, haven't installed yet. Pics will come then.

Finally got in touch with IRO, supposedly it's going to be shipping today.
Hopefully I'll have everything buttoned up and ready to go before choccolocco mountain on june 1st.

Got the skids and tie rod put on the other day. Now all I have to do is front bumpstops, and take off the front sway bar before june 1st. Disconnects and solid diff covers are next.

Buy a locker and do it so you have at least the front locked so we can do some more fun trails.

He had 2-3 hockey pucks up front and extended rear bumpstops even with the rear leaf spring plate, I think.

He sold it and bought a Bimmer. He said he wants another XJ, but talk is cheap
