Thats a perfect pic!!! I think im sold on these flares now. I just need to figure out how they will work with my JCR corner guards. since the rear quarters are 3/16'' thicker, they arent going to line up with the door piece.
also, are they bolted on? or held on with self tapping screws?

They came with stainless self tappers with a security torx bit and stainless washers but you could definitely bolt if you want to but some of those (on the door) would be near impossible to get to.

You mean cut out the corner guards to fit the flares? I will most likely do the opposite. Trim off 3/16'' of plastic from the mounting surface of the flare, then drill through the corner guards to mount them

We can take care of you on the armor! We've set up flares for XJs with armor before. The flare on the door gets trimmed slightly bigger with the thickness of the armor (3/16") extra. Email me through the Napier Precision website for more info or especially when you order for an armored XJ. The flares attach with S/S sheet metal screws with a security six lobe drive, driver is included with full kit.
I'll get back to you guys later, heading out on a snow run.

If I ever buy another set of wheels I might look into reducing the backspacing a little more, but Washington is pretty strict on tire coverage with flares and mudflaps. The 3rd time I pulled out of my driveway after I lifted it I got pulled over for not having tire coverage, so I'm trying to walk a thin line

A little bit, I've got it all ready to install the FST Low-Profile shackle relocation brackets. My shackle angle is a non-perfect 90* and beyond not flexing all that great its very stiff. The FST brackets will allow me to adjust that angle without lifting my Jeep any more.

I also had a chance to install my Ruggid Ridge steering brace. This in conjunction with the JCR steering box spacer seemed to have really beefed up my steering system up. Seems to track down the highway at 70MPH much better. When I installed this and my front bumper I removed all the sway bar and disconnects, and since haven't put them back on. Seriously considering leaving them off. Its just a weekend warrior, doesn't see much DD duty anymore. I'll be re-installing my front OEM skid plate (crash plate) in the next couple days.

I also did the High-Idle mod to up alternator and cooling system output. I'm in process of changing the A/C system over to OBA so that will also help increase output of that.

Idle goes from 750 to 1000, so maybe fuel consumption? In all seriousness there's no negative effects. Can only be used in park or neutral so if you were thinking you could flip a switch and ghost ride the whip while rock crawling that won't work.. Lol
