When I did my alternator upgrade I just used the pulley that was on it.
While the smaller pulley will help it spool up faster for sure, I just didn't see it worth the hassle.
Your already going from 90 amps available to 160...
Also, the motor mounts look good!

So I was working on the Durango alternator modification. It appears that I gotta grind the brackets to make it fit
I reused my old alternator when rebuilding the jeep 5 years ago it had a minor crack in the body and I was able to break the armature loose (it was frozen solid) so I decided to run it until it dies. Apparently it took 5 years to do that haha.
So when I took it out. The cracks was bigger than the day I put it back.

Doesn't seem like much, eh?

Did some grinding on the aluminum alternator bracket and on the steel bracket.

That's how much I ended up taking off.
Also, I'm not sure if I should swap the pulleys. The XJ pulley seem to be very slightly smaller. Probably 1/8-1/4 smaller.
Whatcha think about the pulley?
I also have my old upgraded cables up for sale, since I plan on making new ones for the new alternator. Should they be considered "collectible" since it's the very first cables I ever made. Ha

I was also able to install only one of the motor mounts in the jeep. I need more time. Ugh

Works great!
SHEESH! That is a GNARLY crack on that casing. I can't believe that lasted 5 years! Haha.
I really wanted the 160a when I upgraded my alternator, but I just couldn't see what I could possibly need it for since all my aux lights will be LED, I'm going to LED headlamps hopefully soon, and I don't have a winch (yet). I have a small sound system, but the speaker amp is 400w and the sub amp is 300w. So the 136a should suite me just fine, I figure.

So.... I thought I updated this, I guess I'm wrong, like usual.
June 24th was the annual NACFest hosted by North Atlantic Chapter of NAXJA.
I didn't feel like rockcrawling all day so I signed up for the group that's going on the light trails (greens and blues). Ventured into the part of Rausch Creek that I have never been before. It was completely different terrain and I liked it.

After lunch time, we decided to go back to the other section and do some light rock crawling.
I dented the roof rain gutter on the drivers side above the drivers door. The passenger front tire went over a good sized chunk of rock and then the roof hit the tree. Pretty good dent too. I like it.

Nothing exciting happened until I broke the rear driveshaft climbing over a ledge on CV trail. Had to be towed out. I removed the driveshaft and waited for the jeeps behind me to come up through the trail. The guy behind me broke his rear driveshaft AND then overextended the front driveshaft so it fell apart. He had to be winched out. He put the front driveshaft together, and we decided to call it a day & head back to the camp.

My wife sitting on the top waiting for the other guys finish fixing their driveshafts

Couple pics of Dukie doing some rocks

So I noticed that the OME leafs seem too soft for my preference....
