So, I feel silly for not mentioning this beforehand... When I did the shock swap, I also swapped out my steering setup from the Rusty's knuckle to knuckle conversion, to the Serious Offroad Knuckle to Knuckle 1 ton steering conversion. Not only is it an upgrade in the tie rod ends, but also the tie rod and drag link as well. An added and wonderful bonus over the Rusty's setup, is it is much easier to align. It requires drilling out the knuckles and pitman arm to 7/8" for the bigger tie rod ends. Since I am local, I was able to just pick up some pre-drilled knuckles and Frank drilled out my pitman arm for me as well. Heck of a guy and a great product! :-) Here are photos of it installed:

Also swapped out my dome lights for some LED lights. Some before and after pics. Kinda hard to tell because I used my phone, lol. Tried to use the low light setting. ;-)

Here are a few of the LED lights I used. From left to right, 5 LED SMD Blue T10 light, 3 LED T5 Blue LED light, and 8 SMD White 6418 light. The last one wasn't long enough to fit snugly into the light holder in the rear dome light, so I used the caps from the bulb in there, and soldered those ends onto the LED ends, and it works. :-)

Well, a couple updates. Clutch is broken in finally. Also, got my exhaust welded up and the tailpipe extended to center it over the axle. So now it is actually going the way it is supposed to, passed my gas tank. I hope that will take care of my vapor locking issues I had on the trail last time, which sped up the process of burning out my clutch, heh. I also installed the steering box brace I have had laying around, and got my rock lights installed. :-) I also did the upgrade for the headlight harness. It took the voltage @ the light socket from 11 volts, to 12 volts, and I would say gave the lights about 25% more output, which is great on the Silvania Xtra Vision headlights. Here are photos of the rock lights installed and working:

If anyone actually reads my build, and wants to see more photos of the lights and how they are installed, I can take photos. Only thing I am waiting on now is getting my spacers back, hopefully this week, and getting back out on the trails. :-) Tired of feeling like a web wheeler. :-P

Couple things..
Why is that rear sway bar still there?!?
Also.. your steering geometery looks whack. The drag link and trac bar should be close to parallel. That drop pitman arm looks like it threw off the angle of the drag link..

Rear sway bar has been removed since I installed the lift. I only have the front connected. As far as my steering goes, I had initially used the rusty's setup, and without the drop pitman arm, the drag link couldn't even reach the pitman arm. When I switched to the setup from Serious, I left it attached. It steers just fine on normal roads. I haven't had a chance to take it off road on the trails yet, so it is hard to say if leaving it on will hinder my steering offroad. I will update once I have gotten the chance.

If its not a deal on road I wouldnt bother with it.. its fine.
Just looks like your angles would be a noticeable bit better with it gone and the stock one back...
Your jeep looks pretty sick though!
Question... what happened to those old rustys shocks you had?

well, the other reason I left the drop pitman arm is, I don't have the stock anymore, lol. So, I suppose I could buy a stock one, ream it out to the 7/8" for the drag link, if it does become an issue. It does look a little odd, heh. Thanks! I love driving it. I need a lot more experience on the trails. One of the shocks I managed to tear off the valve on it, so all the gasses leaked out and according to Rusty's, they aren't worth rebuilding. So, I have the fronts listed on CL, along with a bunch of other stock parts. Dunno if I should even list the one rear shock or not. I suppose someone could want to buy one shock.

Your build turned out great. How do you like those Eaton Lockers? Your new shocks, i had Bilstein shocks & struts on my 91 VW GTI. My car handled like a dream (took exit ramps at 70 with no problem). You like them on your XJ? I'm running cheap Skyjoker shocks, & now you're makin me wonder if i should look into those next. What'd they run ya?

I think I got them on sale when I bought mine though. Even still, that is an amazing price for those shocks.
