Oh no, what happened to it now? Or is that just to poke fun since it broke last time we wheeled together? :-P

After our wheelin' trip I built a new one with the help of an experienced tranny guy.

it lasted about 2-300 miles and then started slipping, erratic shifts, noise....

We tore it down 3 times in 3 weeks.....still not running right.

It's parked till I can afford a new tranny.

Man I'm impressed by those mpg numbers, I wouldn't mind finding a clean DD jeep, 14 mpg highway in my pickup is getting old, lol

No doubt, lol. That is painful. ;-) I am pretty surprised myself, considering I enjoy pressing the skinny pedal around town and on the highway, heh. Between the K&N CAI, bigger throttle body, 784 injectors, and flowmaster exhaust, it just sounds so nice at full throttle, lol

Found some old photos of my injector swap, figured they should be on here. ;-) Swapped to the 784 injectors, been a great upgrade. Didn't really get an increase in MPG, but it didn't get any worse either. It definitely helped in better throttle response and a smoother idle. I think the combo of everything I did makes all the difference. Been debating about putting in a performance chip... but I can think of so many other things that that money would be better to put towards, like a hi-lift jack and CB, heh. Anyways, for those that for some reason haven't seen the difference in the stock injectors versus the 784 injectors, here are those pictures(I did this back in March when I first purchased her):

Hey man, I just spent about an hour going through your build thread. I love your rig! The 2 door body looks great with the Bushwackers. I'm a bit jealous that the rears are 1 piece and not 2 piece like they are on the 4 door. My rear flares don't line up on 1 side and it drives me insane! I do have a couple questions for you.

I've been looking to do the blue LED conversion, and have been having a tough time finding the right part numbers for the bulbs. Do you have the site and part numbers for your install? Some other pics I've seen look too bright and drown out the numbers on the speedo (could just be the pic quality) but yours look perfect.

I’ve also been thinking about putting some LEDs in the back over the cargo area. I built a platform (if you remember from my build thread) that I’m always using and the dome light doesn’t do $*#t back there! I was going to run 1 strip, but after I saw yours I think that’s the right way to go. 3 strips in different locations mean no shadows! Where did you get those lights? I know they are the same as your rock lights (also, very nice).

I’ve also been wanting to do the injector swap as well. I know you used the 784, but what vehicle are they originally from? Where did you get yours and how much were they? Any modifications to the plug or bracket or are they really just plug and play?

Thanks for the compliments! :-) Now, to address your questions on the lights. I found several posts about swapping out the LEDs and such. Best site I used as a reference was:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/l...ee--/30-350--/

Since you have a 2001, everything I did you can do as well. The dash lights, I ordered these(T5 3 LED Blue light bulbs):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-T5-74-Br...3ef0c1&vxp=mtr

The selector I used(T10 5 LED Blue light bulb), I can't find the listing I bought, but they were like these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-T10-505...fcf828&vxp=mtr

Now, as far as my rock lights and the rear cargo area is concerned, I used these LED light strips:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/220771655338...84.m1497.l2649

I bought 3 of those strips, lol. Overkill? maybe. I still have a couple feet left, but that is from doing front bumper, rear bumper, and running all along the wheel wells and undercarriage on each side of my rig for maximum light and the strip in the cargo area. The cargo area, that is all one continuous strip as well, on all three sides. I ran wire from one end, and connected it to the rear dome light, so they light up with the door opening, and also if I just use the hatch and need to click them on or off. They work out quite well. The LED strips are a bit of a pain to work with, if you aren't comfortable with soldering. I had very little experience, so I practiced a lot, and had to re-solder several spots that barely were connected and came off once I went to mount the lights. Heat shrink tubes are your friend whether you are mounting interior or exterior, IMO. It helped to keep the soldered connection from moving and bending too much. I also used clear silicone to "mount" the lights in the interior. The strip comes with some tape for the backing, but it wasn't sticking to the plastic for some reason, so I just glued it, more or less, heh. One thing to note is, since I ordered everything off of ebay, some of that stuff ships from china, and takes several weeks to a month to get state side. So, if you go that route, be patient. ;-) I am sure there is some stuff I am forgetting, but hopefully that gets you going in the right direction in the very least. Best part about all the LEDs is, you can test them with a couple wires and a 9v battery. Was how I tested all my soldering. It is a wonderful thing.

Thanks for all the info! I'll definitely be doing a full interior LED swap out this spring, and hopefully be doing the box lights sooner. I found a guy on here that sells the injectors already cleaned and tested, they'll be coming to the Honeybadger soon.

Yea, I completely got wrapped up in explaining the lights that I forgot to mention the injectors like you asked, lol. I also bought from a forum member, probably the same guy. Direct swap, nothing special about it, very easy to do. :-) I haven't updated in a bit because I have been busy at my new job. Nothing like being unemployed for a year and finally working again. Just hope to get some kind of set schedule so I can get projects around the house done. ;-) not to mention get to wheel some.
