do to being out of school till late January and it being 25* outside i haven't been able to do a lot of work on the jeep. Luckily my dad has been working on the dash inside by the fireplace.
This is my glove box cover, carved and burned by my dad.

and these are my new racing gauges (my dad thought they looked cool, i agreed) they are set in wood which will have more carving/burning on it.

and there is more to come as my dad continues
hope you like.

Been a little while so i figured id give you guys an update.
Dash is done and in, and looks amazing. (still need to wire it up) when i can get a good picture ill share details.
all engine mechanics is done, everything is bolted up (alt, pulleys, fan, power steering, ect) along with tranny and transfer.
because i swapped my auto for amanual i no longer needed my atf cooling through the radiator, so instead we hooked my power steering pump up through it.
waiting on all new lighting front and rear, it has been ordered and whenever it gets here i can hook all that up to the new wiring harness with the dash and sound system.
today i went through all my old wiring to find out what i need to go with the computer to run engine electrical, (injectors, sensors, ect) i still have to hook it up to the comp behind the dash which i will do when i wire the dash itself in.
after that its come down to paint and cage, i have been told that because cherokees are unibodys and i removed half of my roof, it is not considered safe to wheel with until i get a cage in, so i hope we can do that quickly.
i cant wait to get this thing running again and go have some fun!

After about a month of splicing, cutting, soldering, wiring, wiring, wiring, and more wiring. We figured out everything we needed, inputs, outputs, powers, grounds, computer, and a million other things. We got my jeep to start, ran for 20 sec then we had to shut it off because we couldn't see if it had oil pressure (no gauges hooked up yet) but tomorrow i will be wiring and finishing the instrument panel and dash. Then i will be able to do break in and test drive.
After school tomorrow i tow it home and around town for cage, and windshield.
(great b day present if you ask me)

It was cool to come across this and see the progress, seems like you have gotten quite a bit done in the past 6ish months. Very cool project, would like to do my own some day, thanks for sharing your project.

Rollcage is all done and ready to go in, check it!

Got drive shafts modified to fit new tranny.
almost all the wiring is done.
all ready to roll other than water temp sensor. our new sensor for our amazing gauges didnt want to fit into the hole in out head or block, so i got a thermostat housing with an extra hole in the side that i was able to get my sensor to work for, just need to put it back together.
