Every time I see threads like this I get really jealous. It looks amazing. I mean, I'm only sixteen, but I'd like to be able to do this some time in the future. I have no idea where to start, though. Advice, please?

Hi, most importantly you need to do lots of research, have a clear vision of what you want, and invest in good quality tools. The ideal situation is to have time, money and a good garage, but if these are not available then just try and have a stubborn, fixed attitude and lots of patience Never give up!

I hope that tc overhaul do not turn to be catastrophico.
TC removal was fu.... horrendous. What i read from haynes was basically: support the trans and remove the tc. So the 6 nuts between trans and tc were 9/16" I was told that they are 14mm, didnt have the right tools and I have to make some, took 1,5h to get those nuts off. When TC came out it slipped to the oilbasket and o'boy what a mess

Dirty junk:

I'm thinking what cardans do I have? have to order new spicer u-joints to front- front and rear-rear. Really dont know this stuff, but I think that rear is not stock:

Question

I changed all bearings and seals, new chain and front case.

Anyone know, how long is the low range extractor pin, i forget to measure it. Old one went pieces when removing it.

New Precision u-joints, I wanted spicers but they are not available here locally.

Fresh powder coating for bumber frame:

Some random shots:

Custom lower dash panel, not perfect fit but OK. plastic was already cracked, now the center piece is made from sheet metal.

Cheers, more to come...

I just finished watching this video. People don't really drive like that over there, do they? That's some crazy stuff.

It really is like that in russia, that video dont suprise me, ...or maybe the jetfighter. St.peterburg-murmansk highway is the worst that ive been driving. Hi-luxes driving 150km/h all 4 wheels off the ground from bumbs. And road conditions are out of imaginary sometimes.
