Screwed on the CB antenna quick disconnect. Now I can pull all the way into the garage and get through those low hanging branches without having to unscrew the antenna every time.

Just got back from checking out a roof rack. Decided to pull the trigger.

Came with four working flood lights.

Waiting for rust removal and paint.

The rack is designed to mount on top of a YJ using these bars, but I'm going to make it work for the XJ. I took the bars too just in case I need to cut them up for brackets or something.

The Jeep patiently waiting for its new parts to be ready.

Just bought some new sway bar bushings too since I can see light through my old ones.
I was also looking at my new rack a little closer and it is a Garvin Industries Wilderness Expedition Rack for a YJ Wrangler. It retails for $800 before tax and shipping, and I got it, with four lights, for $150.

You ..... Suck. I want a rack, it's a pain to find any or have one shipped to Korea. But when I get back stateside, I'll be on cl daily looking for sure. You should order/fab some gutter mounts. They are the strongest I think, and you can pick them up for about 40 bucks or so. It'll hold more than if you just bolt to your roof bar things.
And yeah I plan on getting gutter mounts, the rack was just throw onto the crossbars and held there with bungee cords and speaker wire so that I could get it home.
Are you having any rubbing problems with a 3 inch lift and 33s? Can you do a 3 inch lift and have 33s without rubbing problems or do you need to stick with 31s? Your jeep looks way better than page one man! Good job!

My front springs turned out to be 4.5" instead of 3. Rough Country sent me the wrong ones but it worked out better for me in the end anyway. So I'm 4.5" higher in the front and about 4" in the rear with the Daystar shackles, that with cut fenders gives me plenty of room for the 33s. With a true 3" lift I would stick with 31s unless you want to do a lot more trimming that I did, or you can throw a spacer up front with a longer shackle out back (if you haven't already).
And thanks for the compliment! My XJ has come a long way.
I took it off road for the first time yesterday since the new tires and flares, I also disconnected the sway bar. It did great! No wheeling pics but I have a few aftermath pictures that I'll throw up later today.

Installed the new (correct) CB antenna mount.

And went wheeling for the first time with the new tires and flares. I also disconnected my sway bar and took my lady friend Zena along.

Not many pictures off road because it got dark so fast, but here are a few aftermath pictures.

Today I put the roof rack back on, I'm not going to put anything up there I just really wanted to have it up there for looks at this point. It's held on with a multitude of clamps and bolts.

Went with Stephen to High Country 4x4 so that he could get some longer shocks for his XJ and snapped a picture of mine from inside.

They had a brand new 2012 Rubicon Unlimited sitting out front that they had already lifted and threw on bigger wheels and tires. Asking price was $59,500. 81 miles on it and still under factory warranty.

Already looking at going up another inch or two and getting a set of 35s. I should've known I wouldn't have been able to stop buying stuff for the Jeep.

Washed it off a little, getting ready to wire up the roof lights.

Got my sway bar bushings in today, disconnects come in tomorrow. That will be my project when I get home, hopefully I'll have enough time to work on it.
