you have to bring it finished or unfinished to the tri-city jeep show and shine on fathers day weekend, saturday to guelph wellington chrysler. seriously. it's a big event and that will steal the show.

He lives (or lived) a few miles away from me. The last time we spoke about 9 months ago he was having problems with his land lady. He was also going to to school AND working.
I'm going to go by his place soon and see if he still has it or has finished his build.
Will let you guys know.
I was really impressed by his work in person!

I have neglected the thread and I'm sorry. I have kept up with and appreciate all the love from everybody through the email updates, but just never got around to logging on.Since last update I ran into a snag with the steering column and pedals, I almost sold it, I almost traded it, I thought about scrapping it, and I tried forgetting about it. The Troll has been in a dank storage locker for 7 months
. I also moved, got a new job, and bought a house (so a second move is weeks away). So, Jamie57, do not go to my old place hahahaSo thanks for following the build and wanting more. I actually am so sorry and feel bad for not updating at all. Once the Troll is in its new home on Feb 27th, I will update with pics and ALL the future plans as there are MANY future plans.
Cheers everybody, the Troll is very much alive.

I grew up in a Northern Ontario town around straight up trail rigs, lifted everything, slingin mud and snow, all the typical Jeep stuff. I moved to the big city and started running around on the street so I got into fast, low, and loud trucks. I built a couple street trucks and bagged trucks. One day, someone from back home started asking if I'd ever have a trail rig or a Jeep. And from there it began that yes indeed I would have a Jeep...and it would be this kind of Jeep. And of course he hated the idea, so I figured "hey, ever offroad guy will hate this thing!!" So to blow the entire "street vs. trail rig" debate out of proportion...I came up with this genious idea hahaha
I've been waiting for updates for a while... Good to hear things are on the up for you, sounds like it's been a rough couple of weeks/months.
Love this thread, I've got a friend that's building a 60 something pickup slammed (bagged) hot rod... It's cool to see a different twist on an XJ on this site & also all the typical Jeep guys (even myself) following your build.
Good luck & look forward to seeing more of your build....

Very interesting....
I enjoy the creativity, just not crazy about the ranchero style fenders and colors.
When you cut out the rusted fender and replaced it with the sheet metal. I totally saw a vision. Hope you take it more that route; to smooth surfaces and rounded edges. Once you created the new taillights you already started down the path.
