That's a GREAT looking XJ, but a WJ makes a sweet rig. I just find their parts are more expensive and less options. We've got two guys in our club that run WJs. They're both awesome.

Oh I didn't trade it for a WJ. I got rid of it so I could build a full blown drift car which I got rid of cause I'm tired of messing with little and low cars. I should've kept this rig.

Exactly what I am seeing now. With an XJ everyone makes stuff but a WJ noone really makes stuff and what they do make is way pricey so I would end up making like everything. Which I would do for an XJ probably but still lol

Well I started making a storage box for the back of the Battle Wagon. I had free 2x4s and big pieces of oak so that's what u used.

23.5 degrees is the angle of the back seats so I cut two pieces high for each wall.

Then measured for the bottom and cut to size.

Since I was using 2x4s I added some planks for vertical tie ins that would make it one wall.

Here it is test fitted in the back. I've divided the main compartment into two. A smaller one in the right and a large one on the left. I'll finish it in a day or so with lids and everything.

Went out with SWAT last night in the early parts of the storm. Here's a shot from a parking lot to a boat launch.

Heres a 7 minute video of some of the flooding. It was worse than this earlier in the day when the tide was in.

That's some pretty deep water in that video! I got a few questions for you, though...
Do either of you have modified air intakes? I would be scared of sucking up water in those conditions.
Your CB is super clear! How did you get it to sound so good? Mine is full of white noise.
And last question... Were you in 2wd/overdrive, or were you in part-time or even full-time 4wd? I'm just curious... lol

It was either a 97 or 98 zj limited I believe. Yeah they called a state of emergency for us before the storm came on shore.

The two of us don't. No_rdplz was with us and.he has a snorkel. But as long as we weren't going too fast it wasn't a big deal. I've tuned the antenna and use a bit of squelch cause I hate white noise. It also was only about a foot.away from the.phone so that may have helped. And there was no need for 4wd where we were at. It was all paved roads.

I really like your build man. Similar to mine. I wish I would have kept my 33s and my 15" rims. Decided to go with JK moabs and 32.5s..just doesnt look as beef now.
