First time out with The Baconator

 

So locked all the doors at work and then couldn't get the door unlocked.
So now time to remove the door panel with the door not open. Then got the door open and unhooked the lock level so i don't have to worry about being locked.

 

 

So I was looking through craigslist and found a post for a bumper for sale. Contacted CF's very own RatchetMaster10 and bought the bumper.
Also made a new friend that i'm pumped to go offroading with...when the schedules match up.

Installed the new bumper (still need to paint the front red clip)

 

So I still had to change the front passenger shock and looking at the old shock it never came back from being compressed.
I then replaced it with a Gabriel Ultra Shock.



I then went to the back to check out the shocks and found they were nasty, muddy (due to me ), and rusty.




I then started to pull of the first bolt of the rear shocks and like 95% of all other XJ owners i snapped the bolt. So i stopped and will pick up after putting new bolts in.

Picked these up today
Going to put on to finish front end then will paint flat black.

Also picked up new bolts for rear upper shock bolts since I snapped one. Probably will snap all so was planning ahead and got the 4 pack.

 

Went out offroading taking advantage of the rainy conditions

I finally got my pieces around my headlights on and the front end painted.
