Its in the booth, the color was tough to match, but no match for my painter. He is a good friend and most would have just sprayed whatever color, but he custom tinted some solvent base just for me.

He is working on the flares, they had some silica based product in them that caused some issues, but will be ok in the end.

Centercaps and tailgate trim getting the treatment as well.

To me it sounds like a perfect project, and in the end I have something I've built to show for it. I know the basics of welding, my dad taught me oxy welding 10 years ago.
I agree. Good luck.

You need a strong welder to penetrate 3/16 steel. It's not hard to get two pieces of metal to stick together, the problem is when you go to use the bumper. Whether a pull or a wreck and the welds fail. Yeah sure I could take my cheap buzz box and stick two pieces of metal together. Doesn't mean they will stay. If I were you I would avoid that as my first project, but hey not my life. Just know if you don't get the penetration right, the first time you use that bumper it will just rip apart. Also, don't think I would use oxy welding for a bumper, I'd use either a good stick or mig, maybe tig if you're fancy or that's all that's available. The key to welding is penetration not getting two things to stick together till they're used.

Really???? What relevancy does the fact that Quadratec's actually extremely nice wheels built in China make a difference to ME??? ZERO. They actually balanced better than several of the MOABS that I have owned over the years.
No disrepect but if u cant just keep it positive ya prob shouldnt say much.. we all have different taste... LoL ..jeep is made china mostly anyhow....this is his build thread isnt it? All good tho man !! I think the wheels look great ..better than steellies!!
