Minus the spoiler, hood vents, and front clip badging - this is easily my favorite 2 door build and I can't believe I am just now seeing it. I think it's because my employee blocks most image hosting sites and I always skipped it because the photos don't load. That's why I always upload mine directly to the forum.
Glad I looked on mobile though. Sweet Jeep and I'm glad you went with the solid dark rims even though you had doubted it in previous posts in your thread.

I had purchased a Dorman passenger side lock motor/latch and over the 4th of July weekend, and tried to install to only have an epic failure and it would not work. I adjusted it for 30 minutes and it would never allow the door to open from the outside.
A lot of work wasted.
old

apart

junk piece

So I up ordering a new OEM piece and give it a whirl on the install this week. What would you know works like a champ. Also installed new door clip retainers.

Also got my wheel swapped out and repowdercoated. I will NEVER deal with Tread Depot again as they left me holding a bag on the deal. You can clearly see the issue here.

Finally all back together.

I also got the ZJ 5.9 Limited I had been building all done and ready for the new owner.

All done

Well Sunday was the official headliner install day. It was long overdue.
Old saggy headliner

Coming out

Its out

Clean in here

Man I really hate this part

Going back on

Trimmed out and ready

Back together

One little mess up that I am not proud of

Did save the 4wd selector sticker

It is such a terrible job. The disassembly and reassembly takes about 30 mins, but doing the headliner takes hours. But its done and looks better.

So I got in some GTechniq NANO ClearVision SmartGlass window coatings and decided to try it out on the XJ and the Mercedes.
It's a semi permanent coating they say will last 2 years. I am hoping that is does the job Rain X does with less application.
Takes 3 coats on the windshield and 1 coat on any other windows. I did the windshield on both and the rear window on the XJ.

One layer on.

Gets a haze to it.

Rear all done.

Front all done.

Couple shots of it all cleaned up outside.

Both of them chilling with the wipers up.
