so i decided that i think im gonna do a bastard pack, ive heard people say you can use stuff off of dakotas and s10's what truck or vehicle would get me the most lift, and just be able to bolt on? and could i also use spacers? i found a junkyard that leafs are 15 each, shocks are 4 each, coils are 6 each. i think thats all pretty reasonable compared to paying 5-700 i think.... just need to know exactly what vehicle to use to get most lift and be able to just bolt on... i need to know asap, i'm thinking about doing my lift pretty soon...

I don't know very much about bastard packing, and I'm sure someone else here can help you out. As for coils, V8 ZJ coils are said to give you 1"-2" for the front.

All I can say is PB blast! Every day. It saved me from breaking many bolts, but I still managed to break some. What height are you looking for?

So you get the new leaf pack from the donor vehicle (Dakota, s10, etc.) and you cut the eyes off of them. Then you incorporate those leaves onto your current ones. There is no real set way to do it it's more of a trial and error thing until you find the right combination that gives you the lift you want. It depends a lot on both the condition of your current leaves as well as the ones you get from the JY

When I broke my bolts, I had to drill and tap them.

I wouldn't recommend forcing it into a weekend unless you're working with someone who knows what they're doing. My first time took me a hell of a lot longer than I originally intended. If you have everything at once it might be a little better, but still. I would allow for extra days just in case something breaks or doesn't work correctly.
