I do need some help, this is the sound it makes when starting up. Bad starter, or does it need some shims? https://youtu.be/DLiARVq1VOg
It almost sounds like there is something rubbing when it first starts ticking over..but I can't tell if it's from the starter or elsewhere in the engine bay.

It's gotta be the starter, since that's the only time I hear it, is when I start the jeep. As soon as I let go of the key it stops.
Nice waggy, i like what you did with the custom headliner. You should keep an eye out for the waggy tail lights.
I was in need of a vehicle to keep the miles down on my DD truck and when i happened across mine - i had to have it!
alright, so looking at the back of my jeep a lot today, and damn it. I have one waggy light and one normal XJ light, driver's side is cherokee light... So the search begins.
I don't know if I should be proud or disappointed that a ****ty video I made 6+ years ago is the first result when you search for things like "renix vacuum lines" or "89 cherokee vacuum lines"... and in the top 5 if you just search for "cherokee vacuum lines" SOMEBODY should have done a better video than I did at some point... right? why do I have to look at my own filth?
Yeah I did the same thing with the upper radiator hose in my '00.
I have read that if you trim down the hose on the radiator side a bit it pulls it in a bit and clears the battery.
I figured it was just easier to use some loom.

5 minutes with a dremel and a cut off wheel did the trick, then sanded it to make sure it had no sharp edges. It’s not integral, and having something with a point there rubbed me the wrong way.
I am too... the trick is getting them in there. Finding it hard to get a base without fabricating something myself. Trying to avoid doing that if I can, simply because I am not very good at welding, and would be pretty expensive to pay somebody to do it. But it is coming down to that possibly.
Very annoyed right now, was checking on my lift kit, since it hasn't shipped yet. Ship date is Oct 1st. Not happy with that at all. Looked and the kit I picked is out of stock everywhere. not sure if I should find something else and cancel it, or just be patent and work on the 200 other bits I need to do.
