Sorry to hear that you are sick. I hope you feel better soon. The Jeep will still be there when you are better. Just think of it like this, you got 95% of the hard work out of the way.

The truck looks really nice in the video you posted. I am glad to see you will be replacing the fuel pump. It may or may not be the problem.
Couple quick questions
1. Have you replaced / checked the air filter recently? I wonder if there could be a problem that it is starving for air.
2. Have you taken a look at the ignition coil? Are there any cracks or indications that the coil could be failing?
3. You said you replaced the TPS switch, have you verified that it is reading properly? Sadly, some parts can be bad right out of the box.
I am not trying to give you headaches, just trying to offer whatever help / ideas I can think of.
I am by no means an expert

Yes, brand new air filter
I have a new one showing up tomorrow, coil and ignition module. It looked fine, but its nothing to replace it, so I'm going to.
Yes, I have a R.E.M. and have adjusted it correctly, and it measure's correctly.
I replaced the ECM today with a reman unit and it didn't affect anything. I have the ignition coil, new fuel injectors, spark plugs, and a few other things I ordered a while ago showing up this week. If that doesn't fix it I'll drop it off at a shop.

Just curious, I saw this, and was just curious if this could be happening to you.

thanks, I have a new air filter, and the hose is not collapsing. and the filter still looks like new (only has maybe a few hours worth of idling on it.) so I don't think it's that.

Not sure if anybody is still following me at all, it's been nearly a month since my last post. But I did some more stuff to the XJ, to no avail, got frustrated, ignored it for a couple of weeks, then just before Christmas, dropped it off at a shop. They have other jeeps there, and wouldn't get to it for a while, but at least maybe they'll be able to figure out out. the owner personally owns like 5 or 6 XJs. several of them turned into buggies/serious rock crawlers. so hopeful they know what they are doing and can get me fixed up, they should be looking at it this week.
Personally, hit some bother with family drama. Not my immediate family, but my wife's family - Father in law, sister in law, and niece. (mainly the niece trying to get custody to take her away from her meth smoking mother) It has cost me close to $20,000 dealing with all that and we're not even done. Right at Christmas... So yeah, even if they can fix my XJ, the other things I need to button up on it... might be a while before I do.

Sorry to hear what you are going through with your family, hopefully it will be over soon.
I also hope to hear that the shop can find out the problem with the XJ so you will be up and running. We will all be here when you can continue to make progress on the truck.

Thanks. It has been stressful. I spent 3 hours on the phone with the lawyer yesterday (at $450/hr). working through some of the paperwork and stuff. Finally got my SIL to let us talk to our niece. but SIL told us a ton of lies. I hate being lied to. finger's crossed the judge just signs the order for pick up and we can just get her.
Hi, yes, we do follow you, even from France....
I cross my fingers for what happens in your family.
And you took a good decision for the Jeep, sometimes things need a new point of view to get solved.

Talked to the shop, they cannot figure it out. So the owner of the shop is going to bring his working 89 XJ in and start swapping parts between the two to see if there is an issue with one of the parts...
