Adding Power Locks on older Cherokees
Is there a way to add power locking on my 91 Cherokee Laredo?
Everything on it is manual, no Power locks, no power windows.
I was thinking of adding the buttons on the side of the door, black empty box shape where you pull the handle to open the door.

easiest way would be to swap to power doors, but there is a way to add power locks to your existing door, just not sure how you would do that. maybe have to get a power lock motor from a junkyard jeep and hook it up somehow.
i know it's possible, i know a guy that did it to his tj. and he's not very knowledgeable in the auto department, but more of a techie.

There are numerous kits out there to add power locks, remote locks, etc., and supposedly they aren't hard to install. I've heard good things A1 Electric and will probably buy this kit soon.

Go to a pick and pull and take a cordless drill with a 1/4" bit and just remove all the stuff. They are riveted in which is why you need the drill. I have done this and it is the best way to to it. Get the wiring too.
