Here's my jeep, it's a 99 with 90k mi. After 3 years of searching for the right one i found this lil beauty. Paint isn't perfect but interior was very nice for its age. No body or frame rust and no leaks. Paid 4k i thought it was a fair price so i went for it.
It's all stock except for the lift which is a rough country 4" with just some wrangler p235/75/15's
I'm a jeep newb so i'll have lots of questions to come i'm sure.
First plans are: Tune up, tranny filter change, transfer case filter change and check its chain and prolly a new cover, valve cover gasget and check timing chain. Previous owner was using castor oil high milage dino if anyone has suggestion on oil better suited for these motors i'm open. I've done a few tread searches and found its quite the topic.
Once i'm convinced its mechanically par the real fun will begin.
I do want to quickly get some temp and oil pressure gauges installed (thinking on the door pillar not dash) if anyone know's some good ones or maybe a 2-3 cluster made for that style mount. Shoot me a message please. It has dummy lights for temp and oil and i can't stand that.
Thanks

Lol. Yes they look brand new.
I always liked the OEM steel wheels, just wished the would make them wider. Also the original Jeep hupcaps look cool. but thats just me, I guess.

Thanks for the replies guys! I thought the rim's had been replaced till i seen the spare. The threads on the spare holder are not scratched at all from taking the spare off and on like many xj's i looked at. Crazy...
Here's some more pics though.
As with every used vehicle there is all ways the good the bad and the ugly...whatever this white haze crud that's on here is definitely the ugly. It was all over every door seal & threshold and even the windshield and wipers and bad own the cowl.
I don't know what it is. When i try to scrub it off it looks like its gone when its wet then comes back when dry.
If anyone has a clue what it could be or what's a safe product to remove it without damaging the paint. A nice pic of my scratched up doors. Wildlife and fisheries emblem poorly removed, though they are a pain to get off...but DAMN really! Looks like something was screwed to the front end above the lights also and yet again a **** poor job of fixing that by the previous owner.

Looks like your clear coat is shot at some places. It looks ok wet and when its dry looks like crap again. The only way to get rid of that would be wet sanding those areas and clear coating them again. But this will always look spoty. Time for a new paint job.

I dont think its the clear coat. With a light scour pad the white stuff comes off but leaves light scratches. In the pic with the windsheild wipers you can see the same white overspray or whatever it is is actually on the windsheild wipers and windsheild. I used the lightest scotch bright pad's i could find and HOT soapy water with meguires car wash soap and it got it off the door jamb's on one side but it left it a lil hazy with minor scratches.

It could be overspray of some kind. On my old Jeep, which was green also, it looked just like your pics in some areas and it was oxidized clear coat.
My wiper arms had the same oxidation on them. The California heat really gets to the paint after a while.
If it is overspray it should come off with some spray brake parts cleaner and you should be able to polish it up again. You have to be fast with the parts cleaner to not damage the paint.
