Quote: Any updates? Also, do you know what the backspacing is on your wheels?
Damn its been a while! no new updates really yet. I put in a new O2 sensor and thats about it. I have been spending my extra cash on my guns and camping gear. I plan on babying her in a few months tho... rear bumper, skid plate... maybe a few other small things.

Ill have to check on the backspacing I cant remember offhand what it was.

EDIT: I checked iONs website and they were 3.5" backspacing

And yet again Ive been away... lurking on here still but I haven't had much to post. About 3 months ago I ordered some OME leaf packs and all I can say is WOW. I originally had an add a leaf RC rear suspenion, but my stock leafs were saggy still so I had to add adjustable shackles. This Old Man Emu setup is just amazing. I also made my second roof rack. The first one was square tubing and just way too bulky and heavy. I wanted something more streamlined and flat so I can mount a roof top tent in the future. I used 1 1/4 120 wall tubing and it came out much lighter and exactly how I wanted it.

Heres the pack before install:

And here is the progress pics of my rack from when I first started to now. I used JCR Offroad gutter mounts (same as with my first rack) and they are great... strong and not bulky:

This is how I store the rack, it also doubles as a holder for our JKU's top when we wanna take it off

All I have to do is back in my filthy garage, line it up and slowly lower the rack

And here it is mounted. My driveway angles down away from the garage so the pic looks slightly weird

I added some 4" LED pods to the rear of the rack earlier tonight as well, after I get done watching my Buckeyes beat the crap out of Wincy Im going to tweak them a bit more. I have a 31" LED bar coming Monday for the front of the rack along with two more 4" pods to flank each side of the big bar. Now I can back up in the dark and actually see!

Well I got my 32" light bar yesterday and got her mounted I'm very happy with this rack and how everything came out streamlined. I think it helped going off what I did on my old rack, taking away what I didn't need and not over engineering it. I was going to put 2 4" LED pods on either side of the light bar but it'd be too much pointless overkill, that light bar is plenty. I did add 2 halogen lights (1 to each side) pointing out tho to help see the sides of trails or to use as a camp light if needed.

I think I'm done until Feb. for now... Im getting 32's and a SYE then so I'll have something to look forward to.

After looking at this picture again I did notice something, my passenger side wiper blade never "wraps" around the last 3 inches or so. Does anyone elses do this? I've never noticed it much before until winter hits.

The jeep is looking really good! I love the low pro rack with the light bar! You thought about an awning for the side of your rack?

Thank you both. I do want an awning yes, Ive been watching a few on ebay but I was waiting until after winter to get one, and then Ill start saving for my Roof top tent too

I did kinda do what you did but I used material from one of those canopy "tents" from WalMart, it was my bosses and he didn't want it because one of the legs broke so I rigged it to work as a makeshift awning. I also bought one of those giant mosquito nets and camped a few times with an air matress in the back of my Jeep, back seat folded, rear hatch opened... net draped over the back. I have a picture of the setup somewhere Ill have to check for it.

Found it! This was earlier in the year pre rack and OME leafs. I have a twin size blow up matress that fit perfectly in my jeep when the seats folded so I put it to use. Only downside was I had to put anything bulky outside under the rear of my Jeep to make sure it didnt get wet.

I also used my window screens I made too, you can barely see them in the rear windows. I just used the window screen kits from wally world, cut it to fit, then lined the outside edge with weatherstripping foam for a gap free fit. This is a pic of one after I finished fitment, before adding the foam strip. They are both painted black now too.

Took her out tonight for a bit up in my Moms woods, made a fire and relaxed after going through a few trails we made a few years ago (50 acres to play on) I also ordered some IPF headlight housings last night and they will be here Monday!

Are you using beam type blades? I use trico force blades and they do the same. Just from the contour of the window. I think the Bosch icons would fix the problem because they design an "a" and "b" blade, "a" for driver side, "b" for passenger side to contour to the windshield better. But I like the forces, got a year out of each set I've run.
