Scary how quickly you can go through material. I thought I had a ton of it until I started building my tool chest bracket for the XJ.

This is looking awesome!

What are the plans after you put the cage on? Will you be painting it?

Yea camo paint black grill, mirrors, handles and under the bottom body line. After the cage I have to fix the front axle tube seal, mount the steering ram, make shock mounts, traction bar, roof lights, sway bar, electric fans and a tune up. This this has to be my daily driver while I build my miata

You will be able to drive that legally on streets of NY? Figured with tires as wide as they are they would complain. Then I look and see the green one behind you doing the same.

That'll look pretty great! I'm so relieved that you are covering all the bare metal with primer or paint as you work on it and I think your paint scheme will look pretty sweet.

Very impressed this can be your daily driver.. and street legal. I don't think I've ever seen anything as hardcore as this on the roads up here so my mind is a little blown just trying to imagine this on the road.

Thanks I try to keep the rust to a minimum for now but when it comes time to paint I get every bit that I can reach off and do a lot of prep. All my paint jobs came out decent so far

Finished up all my tubing, I'm going to fill in the small pieces with whatever black pipe I have left then see what I need to buy. Cage is mostly done now
