Lots of work there, and lots more to go. But looking good so far. Good job on the chop

I don't have any. All the material I got for free from an unfinished truggy project. I only have around 3,000 into this jeep including buying it so I'm keeping it very budgeted. I will tie into the frame more when I finish the main cage components and see what I have left. Right now I have about 70ft more of tubing

Started the fender tube today. I'm doing the drivers side then the pass side. After I will do the pillars and top. I don't have much time so I usually only have an hour or two to work on it.
More bending from today
This is how it fit up
Curves in and ties to the back of the front bumper

I like it one cool build to go from what it was to what it is now! Nice job and your fab skills are on point.

thanks, I just hate how slow progress is now that it's dark at 5 and in the 30s every day. I just want this jeep done so I can start tear down on my miata lol, and that fits in my garage

yea for the most part it's a 90a fluxcore some parts I tried my 130 machine and the winch plate and gussets under it I stick welded with my Lincoln. But the little harbor freight welder is fine I like it and it's enough considering everything is equal or thinner than 3/16 on this jeep. Lincoln wire in both my flux machines makes a big difference. The bed is fully welded 1/8" sheet and the frame stiffeners are also fully welded 3/16" no stitching. I'd be comfortable without a cage honestly I just like cages plus it's practice for my miata

Good to know I can get my hands on a 90a figured I would until I get something nicer for heavy duty applications.

Here's how I will do the cage
This is how I'm doing the rear tie ins. 2x6 scrap wedged against the leaf spring box and rear xmember, welded on 3 sides.

That looks great mock up! I want to put full cage around mine at some point. Got a buddy who is going to help me locally when that time comes. Hopefully sooner than later.

First day above 20 so I bent the rear fender before it snows tonight

Nice and tight against the body
