99 Cherokee Weekend Family Go-Getter
I just picked up the 1999 Cherokee Sport last weekend. The issue we have is that my regular truck is a 1999 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner. It makes it difficult to take the wife, 14yo and 3yo daughters anywhere. My wife's car is a 2005 Ford Focus and it's a bit small to get comfortable going anywhere. I looked around and found the Cherokee. It has a few small things going on which I am taking care of this weekend, after that I will go over it with a better eye and fix anything dealing with safety or performance.
As of right now I have this to fix:
Replace all windshield wipers front and rear. DONE 1/21/17
Front right turn signal lense broken. I am replacing both as the price was too good to turn away. Besides I don't want one new one and one all faded. DONE 1/27/17
Struts for rear hatch are wasted. I have a new set ready to install. DONE 1/26/17
No radio in the truck. I have a new one ready and the install kit. I got lucky and the previous owner did not cut up the factory wiring for the radio. Should make for a smooth install. Done 1/28/17
Need to rewire front speakers.
Need to replace air bag clock spring. Done 2/4/17
Need to replace front wheel bearing hubs. Done 2/4/17
New wheels and tires - because why not???
Replaced front shocks. Done 2/4/17
Replace rear shocks.
Headliner is falling here and there.
Install usb power outlet for rear seat
I'll attach a few pictures of where I'm at right now and my progress.
This should be fun and keep me busy.

Hey Frank, why not update your original post instead of making a similar one? The moderators will merge them both together.
Missing the 4x4 decals on the back which either it was repainted or its 2wd lol

No big deal. I started with a 2wd as well! Going to be 4wd next week though. Hard to find a clean 4wd in this area. I work in Colton so maybe I will see you around!

Its really clean! its nice to get something that wasn't someone's garbage.
My first XJ STILL has stains i couldn't get out of the seats, had mildew growing on the roof from the kid never washing it, and i found 13 dollars in change scattered throughout it when i first got it.

Thanks Guy.
I did find 55 cents, a 3/8 small combination wrench and an amp under the seat which I will be taking out.
