Well the wait is over. Still some more to do, but for now.
Added in Procomp tires
Onboard air with gauge set up
JCR hoop welded to my bumper
12,000 pound badlands winch from Harbor freight
Timken wheel bearings
Still have to do
27 inch lightbar on roof
LED light upgrade
It's been a fun month :-)

Been some fun times lately. Getting parts in for the next update. Hello to a 4.5" lift!
Going to finish buying everything by fall (piece at a time). Doing the lift sometime in the winter. Coil springs and trackbar is all I have currently. Taking advice from others, I'm going to do a new leaf pack and probably going with teraflex revolver shackles. Gonna be fun!!
Also, I'm going to start plans on the red jeep. Couple options on the table, with me leaning toward part out and upgrade to my 00' WJ.
Oh and I need to put my badge of honor on.....

Why are you going with revolver shackles? I've heard they can be dangerous and unpredictable off road. Do you mean boomerang shackles that have an angle to them and not a pivot point?

Got my diy fuse and relay box made up and running. Using cat5 cable to trigger switches. I really cut down the amount wiring going into the cab. (Yay)!
I was going to take pics but my phone got full and couldn't take anymore. I spliced into the wire properly and used insulated connectors. Probably 50 bucks wrapped into it after everything. Runs 4 accessories and switches. Light bar is hooked up on 1. OBA on 2, more pod lights on 3 and 4 is still open. My extended idle is on its own run since it's just a ground wire.
Coming along!

Wow. Been a while. Here is an updated pic #jeeplife. For real though I redid the diy relay box. Much better now. Running 6 switched instead of 4. Got OBA, lights, elec fan, ext idle, and CB. Oh and I added a CB. Have a 4' fire stick on the rear with midland CB up front.

Been a little while. Time for an update! I am currently doing the following:
Removable doors using a tread I found. See pic for concept. The driver side is done, but I haven't touched the passenger side yet.
Got the AC unit replaced and had nice cold air for a few days. Annnnd there's a leak. Because of this, see above post lol.
Switch panel has been updated with relays and using cat5 cable for signal. Works perfect and I haven't had a single problem. I need to dress up the bezel a bit, but it's functional.
I need to replace the ujoint and seals in the double cardan joint. Still McSqueeky down under. Have the parts, I just need the time.
I am making progress on the 4.5" lift. I have coil springs, track bar, rear leafs (on the way). Need a few more parts including new shocks. Mine are shot already so it will just be a little more for the 4.5" ones. Going with skyjacker for the shocks.
Working on welding skills. The doors will have the drop pins welded on so I have to do that. I'll be replacing the rockers soon. Gonna weld those in and slap some rustys armor on it.
More to come! Far cry on page 1 of this thread

My goodness it's been a few hours lol. Here's some updates
1) doors got done. It was fun during the summer and doors shut nicely. Recommend this to anyone who does care what people think going down the road
2) got my AC fixed!
3) AC broke
4) i have a legit OBA system using a Viair 450c and a 5 gallon tank. Works very well and I can't wait to find something to do with it beside air up tires. Air lockers are an option down the road.
5) got a real roof rack that I've been looking for. Great price from a guy on Facebook.
6) fixed the misfire. Broken head gasket so it was a cheap fix. Went ahead and did water pump, thermostat, all new hoses, all new gaskets from the head up, and new wiring for my accessories. All fused and relayed. Also did 4 hole injector upgrade.
7) added more horsepower, er I mean stickers.
8) oh and I got a rear bumper lol

Quarterly update on the XJ. Started pulling carpet in anticipation for bedlining. Hoping to get that done soon. Getting rock sliders made up to replace the rockers. 4.5" lift is about 1/2 way done in terms of parts gathering. SYE, driveshafts, real leafs and front springs, adjustable track bar are all waiting for me. I have a little one on the way so keep parts are taking longer to buy. And I'm 1,000,000% ok with that.

Build update:
My wife and I have a new baby girl in our family. Rylee was born August 24th
Because of this wonderful joy, I've delayed the jeep a bit. Hopefully this week it'll be back on the road. My 4.5" lift is done with adjustable control arms on uppers and lowers, SYE, front drive shafts on front and rear, new shocks, bar pin eliminators, and staples in the headliner to keep the flapping out of my face lol
Just for kicks I went back to the first page of the build and looked at my tools and the jeep. Yes, that's all the tools I basically had minus a small socket set from Walgreens. I have been blessed and helped tremendously. Take a moment and thank about how you've been blessed.
